I like the weird start menu in 8.1. It holds a lot more icons.
i never installed any security updates to begin with. i'm doing fine.
What a weird thing to be proud of.

I will certainly be buying windows 10, windows 8 just sucked major ass.
windows 10 is windows 8.1, just without the tedious metro system. I mean, its still there, there is an option for it within the start button. Just without the actual remove desktop overlay.

My mom keeps being a moron EVEN AFTER I SHOWED HER THIS when talking about a new computer with Windows 8
she keeps saying "no one likes windows 8" and every time I try to tell her why I want it she says "yeah i know it has cubes"

jesus loving christ

i no who i m hacking next!!1!

my family never got 8 (expect for one laptop which went poop a year later) because 7 worked just as fine. we're going to use it until it becomes extremely outdated, just like with XP. my school got 7 before we did.

also, i swear somebody said somewhere that windows 8.1 users will get some kind of windows 10 update or something along the lines of that when it comes out

is that true or

nobody knows for sure, but a bunch of news sites posted that it might happen

They just want to push out their stupid windows 8.

Wasn't windows 98 the last OS to have a 'Beta Test' before releasing it? Like windows 8 just went "Lol let's just release it, who cares what people think!", and then boom nobody bought it.
w.. what are you talking about? both windows 8 and windows 10 have utilized technical previews. the 10 tech preview is out right now, and the consumer preview is coming out in eight days. previews, not releases. they're beta testing.

windows 8 was not just simply "released"

that's (supposedly) the current decision at the moment. microsoft knows they kinda forgeted up with 8 so they're basically pushing out 10 for anyone with a windows 8 license is what a lot of sites are saying.

What the forget

I finally upgrade to Windows 7 and this happens.

Why would you... what?

One thing I wish 8.1 had was that Windows User Experience Score. That was always fun to see.

well when i get around to building a new computer sometime here in the next two years or so ill probably upgrade to 10 hopefully by then itll be pretty stable

Why would you... what?

Never had money to ditch XP, finally got some.

I have a windows 8.1 laptop and I hate the overlay and it has its bugs. Windows 7 and Xp were my favorite but I never actually had a Windows 7 computer, Just used school, mothers, and fathers computer. I like the look of windows Xp because it is simple and I am just used to it...
