hi, you're stupid

remember how, before 8.1, there was no start button on the task bar? hovering over the bottom left corner gave you this ugly piece of stuff:

in 8.1 they added the start button to the taskbar again. but did they remove the completely redundant thing you get when you hover over the bottom left corner of your screen? nah, they thought making it smaller and less ugly was enough. and they thought it would be a good idea to let it cover the taskbar when it appears.

yet again

i havent ever had that because of Start8

It sounded a lot like you where especially with this.
Still loveual jokes.
That actually came to mind while i was having a discussion on Ipquarx on steam

though not very common:

mo·lest
məˈlest/Submit
verb
verb: molest; 3rd person present: molests; past tense: molested; past participle: molested; gerund or present participle: molesting
pester or harass (someone), typically in an aggressive or persistent manner.
"the crowd was shouting abuse and molesting the two police officers"
synonyms:   harass, harry, hassle, pester, bother, annoy, beset, persecute, torment; informalroust
"the crowd molested the police"

Molest isn't inherently loveual by definition. (yeah this is 2015 i know it might as well be) but i was literally saying "harassing the edges of the screen". While using the term Molest to express my utter disgust that you actually have to search around for said bar instead of it being visually already available or popping up by convenience of the cursor in ANY of the locations where the bar is located.

To appeal to your better nature next time i will not resort to the usual internet lingo.

TL;DR

A terrible accident has occurred and now there's talk of snake

No idea why they're doing this so soon, it's a great OS.
Compared to some of Microsoft's older operating systems, it lost mainstream support later than other home releases. Windows 98 lost mainstream support support in 2002 (4 years,) while ME lost support in 2003 (3 years.)

It's not like it's going away. Windows XP was still popular long after it stopped receiving support.

Yeah, and we still have security updates too, so it ain't all bad.

microsoft are too cool for the number 9

Some programs do OS classification by seeing if the name starts with "Windows 9" (to catch 95 and 98). "Windows 9" also starts with "Windows 9".

use a small taskbar, it looks nicer and the button fits perfectly over the 8.1 start button so it doesn't look atrocious

but i agree hovering over the bottom left hand corner of the screen and having that second start button hover over the normal one at a different size was a stupid idea

I've never seen that pop-up.

They just want to push out their stupid windows 8.

Wasn't windows 98 the last OS to have a 'Beta Test' before releasing it? Like windows 8 just went "Lol let's just release it, who cares what people think!", and then boom nobody bought it.

Err, no, every OS after 98 has been extensively tested.
