Terraria bores me.
I'm certain I hate all that MOBA fantasy stuff with ogres and what not, it's just so overused that I always avoid those games.
Valve probably couldn't care less about developing games anymore.
Valve I feel is starting to go down the drain with Greenlight, stuffty updates to TF2 (EoTL and Mannpower), and adding crates to games.
Early Access is a stuff concept in general.
Smash Bros Melee isn't godsend (Know this guy who disses the developers of the Wii U version for not having wave-dashing and all that bullstuff).
League of Legends looks boring (might be the fact it has that overused fantasy vibe I hate).
I look at a lot of Indie Games and see they are just overpriced flash games.

I am sick to forget of games that use the excuse of it being a retro 8-bit game without it actually being 8-bit because the guy can't draw for stuff, and relies on the retarted gimmick of it having large colored squares to appeal to the hipster nostalgic kid trend.

Early Access is good in some ways (Space Engineers is a prime example), but in some other cases *cough* DayZ, *cough* Starbound, they never finish the damn thing. Not that they are neccisarily BAD games, but they are in a loophole of feeding angry kids who want their money's worth, while trying to 'finish' their game. Some people, however, use it as a loving bait to gamers who want their games fast and snappy, and it still works sadly.

Pre-Ordering. Unless the developers have been kind and gave out review copies (in hopes to get you to buy it), I strongly advise to not do this, and what for? To get some super special hat no one else gets? Until you can validate your purchase by other people, you should not do it.

Joke games. They are ok for the first few times, then no one looks at the game ever again or the creators. Come up with an intuitive game, one people will REMEMBER, just think of this as a movie that super scopes on a single joke for about an hour or 2. Could you stand that?

That's all.

i think it's important to realise that minimalistic art styles are becoming popular due to the increase in interest of/by indie developers in the industry who don't necessarily have the artistic resources to create higher-quality assets

using it as a gimmick is obv pretty goofy, but there's legitimate reasoning behind the trend. if someone is just doing low-res art because they saw another game do it and be successful they're missing the mark entirely; games don't get (widely) popular because of their art styles (though this doesn't mean art style can't be important and valuable to players) and art styles cannot be a selling point.

What about pre-ordering for a discount?

If it's a game you think you may be interested in, go for it. I'm not stopping ya lol. I just don't support it.

Some company does something bad and it's unforgivable but when Nintendo does it it's justified. I'm a fan of Nintendo but I'm not blind.

Jack Thompson is still relevant.

I agree, feels like it relies on mods at this point

Doom was never made to last this long

This so much, also applies to Call of Duty and other FPSes.

I still love that game
I love you.

OT: Dynasty Warriors was a good series, especially the latest installments.

half-life 2 is overrated
