maybe it should be the choice of the inmate when they receive life without parole if they'd like to get it over with

I don't know if they do this in the US but work camps could be a solution for such horrible human beings. Only problem is if the state becomes dependent on work camps they might start throwing people into the camps for lesser crimes which could become a serious issue.
