Mjolnir and Djuriskas are summoned to the briefing room.
Briefing: While you've been sitting here, some of our guys in stealth planes have gone straight for the heart of the enemy fleet and are attacking the Dreidecker in the middle of their formation. Now, they're not gonna be able to take that thing out on their own, but they
are causing the Zits to pull some of their squadrons away from their destroyer screen to go deal with them. And now
these two destroyers only have each other for an escort. Bring 'em down, or at least forget them up enough that they won't be able to threaten our own cruisers when it comes time for the big push. Got it? Dismissed.
The Auxiliaries' handler communicates mission details over the radio as their planes start up and are positioned on the runway.
Briefing: Aesthian fighters have somehow slipped past our defensive line and are attacking the carrier group directly. They have already inflicted moderate damage to two destroyers, nearly wiped out CAP squadron Grao, and inflicted superficial damage on the carrier. We haven't been able to get a confirmed number on how many enemy craft are participating, but we have reports of
at least eight light fighters and two cloaking heavy fighters. Get up there and shoot them down before they can do any more damage or escape.
: One last item of note: Noncombatant evacuation to the underground shelters in is still in progress, and as a result we must assume all buildings beneath us are still occupied. Should your aircraft be disabled you are to make
all possible effort to reach a safe bailout position before abandoning your craft. Aim your plane for the Trebia or Calor rivers, or try to make it to Volturn harbor and ditch in the water there. Leutgard-Gumarich Coliseum has also been evacuated, as have the parade grounds, both should still be lit and visible from the air and are acceptable candidates for a high-impact landing.
