"Right. You do that. I'll take the time to add additional dressing to his wound then. Hopefully your boyfriend isn't done in by huit cat rabies."
You can hear her exasperated sigh behind you. As you finish dressing Paladius' wound, Coaxoch comes over with the rucksack she wants you to carry.

: Put this on, then follow me.
She starts to pick up her wounded comrade, then pauses, apparently thinking about something.

: It pains me to say this, but take this. I cannot use it or my knife while carrying him anyway. Just do
not fire that thing unless I tell you to.
She gives you her pistol, a rather weighty and solidly built front-loader with at least a dozen bullets visible through the transparent mag. Above the grip is a fire selector, labeled S, 1, and 3. Though there is a rail running along the top of the weapon, there are no optics or sights installed. Being a smart detective-y type person, Roger is able to deduce that this weapon is meant as a last resort against wildlife ambushes, rather than for shooting at people that may be shooting back.
Coaxoch hoists Paladius up onto her shoulders and sets off through a less-difficult route, scanning the jungle floor for threats.
