SRAAM(short range Anti-Air Missile)
MRAAM(Medium Range Anti-Air Missile)
LRAAM(Long Range Anti-Air Missile)

AGM ARM- Air to Ground Missile Anti Radiation Missile(locks onto surface radar equipment)
AGM AT- Air Ground Missile Anti-Tank(AT added on give it a clear distinction)
AGM AshM - Air Ground Missile Anti-ship(this is necessary because these are generally large and heavy. Not having them defined could lead to people loading a stupid amount)
AGM SRAM - Short Range Attack Missile(Short Range Nuke)
AGM-86 ALCM - Air launched Cruiser Missile (Nuclear/Non Nuclear very long ranged)

CBU - Cluster Bomb Unit
GBU - Guided Bomb Unit
NPLM - Napalm

that does tend to happen a lot
this universe does follow ace combat rules in general afaik

Harm i think we can let realism slide a little

There is absolutely no way in hell i am adding any of that, the ordnance list is already long enough to cause confusion among newer players, as I have already received several messages from people asking just how the hell they're supposed to get started. Throw in redundant loving crap like three different missiles that do the same thing with the only difference being range, or an AGM that can only lock on to radar equipment, and it'll only compound the problem. Plus, you pointed out cluster and guided bombs as things that need to be added, but if you look at the weapon sheet, or hell, two pages ago, you'd see that those are already there. So that just indicates that you don't even read the thread or want to participate, and are just here to stuffpost.

At no point whatsoever has this game been advertised as an authentic simulator with true-to-life accuracy. Take your armchair autism and shove it, unless you want 100% efficiency LAMS that without fail shoot down all your special snowflake munitions anyway, because that's what "realistically" would happen.

I kinda side with Harm in the way that I find it a bit annoying to be using omnipotent AGMs. The other missiles are a bit vague as well, but that's not too serious. Not asking for any changes though. stuff's fun either way.

Not sure if it was entirely necessary to explode on the man though.

Also, harm, I believe most Anti-Ship missiles are BVR. Harpoons and Penguins n stuff fall on the shorter side of the range though.

This is not the first time Mr. Harmchair General has paraded his obsessive military knowledge around in this setting that doesn't care for it, and I doubt it'll be the last. Quite frankly, we're getting loving sick of it.

ok then
"It's nice back at McNamara. Weather's been good."

"No, it's not been nice, it's been hot you bullstuffter,"

"I enjoyed the weather."

: First time I ever heard that sentence spoken about that place. When I was stationed there it was always-
: I hate to cut short the pleasantries but I'm picking up a new flight of Huit fighters headed for us from the southeast. Looks like about a half a dozen.

Sure enough, a cursory glance at your HUD shows six Saab Gripens headed your way. Currently they're too far out for anything but radar-guided munitions.

"Copy."
I turn towards the fighters and fiddle with Artemis for a bit, before locking on to four of them and firing an RGM at each.

"Engaging," I radio.

The aircraft leans back and I punch the throttle for altitude. I level off after a few seconds. The contacts become visible as the AWACS shares data. They are boxed in.

I lock up a fighter and fire an RGM.

For what purpose, exactly? It's not like you're going to be burning military compounds in Mercana, and as satisfying as glassing the desert probably is it's probably not too helpful.
