[F] sheet 2

"Are we going to have any more imperial airships kicking around?"
: Likely, but that's not our concern. If you encounter any airships, do not engage. They won't be able to keep up with the things you're supposed to be shooting down, so it shouldn't be a problem anyway.

The planes undergo armament. Check now to make sure everything is correct. Also, Whiskey and Walt are both attempting to use TAGs, but only one is present on the base.

Virvel, who has been loafing around the hangar Walter and Gus's planes have been fitted in, approaches the two.
: They not done loading your planes up yet, or are you guys really going into a dogfight with next to no missiles?

"Hard to do on a plane that has a mere six hardpoints designed to take energy weapons."

He pauses and taps the bottom of the plane with his fist.

"I figure if I get into trouble, the '20 can handle it."

Gus looks over the Sulla. The Kintharian plane is much smaller than the PAK FA, which reflects little if any on its combat effectiveness if Raiden is any example.

: Won't do you much good if you get shot down before you get close enough. Or if those dinky little things fail to get the kill.

A grin spreads across her face as she looks over the planes.
: All guns, though, that's pretty forgetin' ballsy. I like it.

"It's dangerous but I've grown to prefer it. I find missiles have great versatility but I enjoy the reliability of cannons more."

Walter looks down at his loadout and changes some things

Markus watches the technicians exchange the RAC on his Tukreb for a laser, with massive heatsinks. He has been rather tired of doing desk work, and so he was excited to learn that he'd actually fly on a mission.
For some time, he actually felt rejected by Mjolnir, as if he was somehow not good enough, especially since he'd been shot down on his second sortie. To be fair, he was part of Mjolnir, he just hadn't been ordered along on any missions.
He leans on one of the hangar walls, almost slipping and falling flat on his back, catching himself before he does. He continues watching the technicians with a slight degree of interest.

Yui tries to get a bit of shuteye, or as much as she can with the bed and the burns.

Mjolnir and Raiden take off from the base and fly down to Svirask for the second time. From your altitude, it almost looks as though nothing has changed since the last visit. Aesthian airships still circle the city below to provide limited fire support with their ventral guns, while the heaviest fighting on the ground is only noticeable by the pricks of light occasionally flashing between buildings.
: Man, it's still as full on as it was last time. Do you think they've even had time to move the bodies?
: That is the sort of thing I try not to think about.

"We use to stack forgets like them 5 feet high in Palestra. Of course they didn't have time to move any bodies."

Markus remains silent, simply observing the horrors of the war. He notes the giant husks of two Imperial destroyers, and an Aesthian cruiser, wondering what kind of weaponry could have taken them down.

"I hope they didn't launch any drones ahead of the strike craft, I heard that the Imperials would launch wings of them from their aerial fleet."

"It's possible they'll try to distract us with a wing to shield their strike planes. Keep your eyes peeled."

Gus climbs and scans the combat area.

Markus, armed with this information, follows Gus.

"We use to stack forgets like them 5 feet high in Palestra. Of course they didn't have time to move any bodies."
: You stacked the bodies of your own men?
: [Cut the chatter, Yamato.]

"It's possible they'll try to distract us with a wing to shield their strike planes. Keep your eyes peeled."
Gus climbs and scans the combat area.
No sooner does Gus finish speaking than the first Imperial contacts appear at Radar range.
: Some escort that is!
: There's no way that's all. Keep your eyes peeled.
