Cualli's eyes light up. "Oh, man. I've always wanted to visit that place. What was it like?"
: It was hot as hell, for one. And very dry. I wasn't really used to that sort of weather or seeing all that sand either, it felt like being on another planet altogether. Getting to see a rocket launch in person was worth it though.

He temporarily takes off the mask to down his shot.
: You don't really appreciate how powerful rockets are- or what the speed of sound is for that matter, until you watch a tiny little rocket on the horizon blast off in complete silence only to be knocked down by the loudest noise you'll ever hear ten seconds later. Words can't do it justice, it's like a clap of thunder that lasts for minutes. My cousin even cried. She was like, 5 though.

Gus holds out the lighter and a cigarette, taking another one out of the package for himself. He looks over the worn Deltan logo sprawled across the front in red letters.
"Truth be told, I bought these after Tocatlan."
He puts them back in his pocket and shakes his head once.
"Couldn't bring myself to throw 'em away. Been in a drawer ever since."
Yamashiro lights her cigarette.
: Thanks.

Tippy smiles
"Alright let's go get one."
She nods and stands up.

"Help yourself to as much drink as you want," she says, looking to be a bit in awe of his story.

"What kind of weather are you used to?" She pauses, realizing how obvious the answer to her question is, and down the rest of her drink. "Well, obviously cooler weather. I guess what I'm trying to ask is where are you from?"

Walter turns over to frisk, starting to give the history book he's been reading for the past while a break.

"Odd question, Why hasn't your squad got any rep-" He pauses a moment to rephrase his wording. " -New members? Mjolnir seems to get a new shipment every month."

Yui wakes up, then groans when she realizes she's not, in fact, at home, but still in the medbay.

["I had been holding onto this for you. The cigarettes are probably ok but the chocolates been on a ride. Might want to throw that in the freezer back at the Rec but HEY, its your favorite from back home!"]

Lorens takes both the pack of smokes and the chocolate bar into his hands... Oh, crap! I forgot to tell him I quit!

"[Oasis blend 44s and Grandma Alya's? forgetin' A!]" He makes a huge grin regardless. "[Man, it's been ages since I've seen the wrapper. Where the hell did you even find it? They stopped selling it at all the usual spots back home.]"

: I'm from Moratov, it's a fishing and mining company town way up north. Like, way up there. Almost 75 degrees north. We got maybe a thousand hours of sun per year, and I think the highest tempurature on record was 65 degrees.

: Dunno. My guess is that the guy in charge is way too picky about choosing replacements.

"Jeez. That's a place I definitely would not be able to live in," she laughs. "I can barely stand anything below 40 degrees as it is, I don't think I'd be able to take not having any sun, either."

"I bet going from there all the way to the Commonwealths was a real big shock for you, then, given the heat." She refills her glass, then offers the bottle to him to refill his glass. "I take it it's always snowing up there, too?"

"Almost seems nice, you have that solid five, don't have to deal with anyone new popping in and learning them."

[5:20 PM] Tayasaurus: Ay
[5:20 PM] Tayasaurus: Skip us to the bar whenever
Tippy and Nagato are now at a bar.

"Jeez. That's a place I definitely would not be able to live in," she laughs. "I can barely stand anything below 40 degrees as it is, I don't think I'd be able to take not having any sun, either."

: Yeah, it was quite the shock. I knew that Moratov is way colder than what humans would consider livable, but going from there to the desert felt like standing on the sun.

He pours himself another shot and knocks it back.
: It wasn't always snowing up there though. During the summer months, when the sun could actually get up, it'd melt.

"Almost seems nice, you have that solid five, don't have to deal with anyone new popping in and learning them."
: I wouldn't call five a solid number. I felt a lot more comfortable with ten.

"Did you like the cold and all the snow?" Cualli asks. "I never really saw much snow while growing up, so it's always seemed... really nice, even though I'm not big on cold." She glances down at her drink, swirling it in its glass. "It's just so pretty when it's all fresh on the ground and everything's quiet."

Lorens takes both the pack of smokes and the chocolate bar into his hands... Oh, crap! I forgot to tell him I quit!

Ash laughs

["Let's just say i know a guy and leave it at that."] ["You wanna go do something or does work have you busy?"]

Tippy takes a seat near the bar and looks at Nagato

"tab is on me today, pick your poison."

: I wouldn't call five a solid number. I felt a lot more comfortable with ten.

"I understand that aspect, but I'm just talking about knowing each of your squad members well. I only really know a quarter of my squad personally."

: It wasn't really anything special to us. It was always there, making travel difficult, especially in the polar nights when visibility was already bad enough.

: What's something strong? I'll take that.

"I understand that aspect, but I'm just talking about knowing each of your squad members well. I only really know a quarter of my squad personally."
: From what I've heard about your casualty rate, that may not be such a bad thing.
