: Kommandmant, you want to try contacting them? I doubt that they're going to answer, but I guess it's worth a shot.

: About half the crew still wants to continue the mission, they're trying to retake the fire control center. You need to get here quickly, or they may turn the Brynhildr's guns against you. Additionally, we have just detected Aesthian fighters approaching from port. Looks like four Flankers.

: Noted, Thanks for the heads up. We will try to get those transports down and secure your hold before the point defense becomes active again.

: Attention, AFS Brynhildr. We have been told you are deserting and have orders to fire on your vessel. What is going on?
: This is Sergeant Godric, Master at Arms on the Brynhildr. The captain and half of the crew have gone rogue and are trying to desert with the ship, the rest of us are trying to regain control. Don't let that stop you though.
: Wait, seriously? We can't shoot it down, half the crew is still loyal!

Lorens stews in his thoughts for a moment after hearing Godric's transmission.

"Sergeant, this is Mjolnir 3, the Brynhildr's captain is still manning the bridge, am I correct? If we were to disable the bridge, do you have an alternative means of steering and landing the carrier?"

"Sergeant, this is Mjolnir 3, the Brynhildr's captain is still manning the bridge, am I correct? If we were to disable the bridge, do you have an alternative means of steering and landing the carrier?"
: No. All the controls are in the roosterpit.

: Great. There's not much we can do from the outside except for intercepting any help the Imps might have sent.

Lorens quietly huffs and grimaces.

"... Roger that, Brynhildr. I advise you secure any means you can to escape in case we must scuttle the ship. We may require you to abandon ship to avoid blue-on-blue. Do you copy?"

: And end up fished out of the ocean and carted off to an Imperial prison? No thanks. We'll take this ship back with our bare hands or die trying. Don't wait for us.

Mjolnir and Djuriskas enter missile range of the Brynhildr, and two planes among them receive SAM warnings. Additionally, three transport VTOLs appear at radar range, heading towards the airship.

A colossal bolt of energy the size of one of your own airplanes streaks through the Aesthian formation, narrowly missing Pansar's aircraft.

On the opposing side, Djuriskas' planes end up on the Auxiliaries' radar as they close in on the Brynhildr.
: Auxilary squadron, we have spotted enemy planes. That must mean they've seen us too.

: Skytracer, Snowman, lose those SAMs and cut back to radar range. We're going to circle around and take the Brynhildr from behind, but stay at radar range.

Ellie sees the missile warning pop on her screen, so she deploys a packet of chaff and attempts to shake the missile.

: I'll stick by the transports and drop additional countermeasures if you come under fire. Our flight should be covered by jamming for just a little longer at this range.

: Those uppers have really kicked in for me now, I hope they don't wear off anytime soon and smoke us with fatigue in the middle of this.

: I don't think we have anything to worry about.
Markus anxiously thumbs the weapons selector, unable to hold still.

: We'll stick with you and keep an eye out for hostile planes.
: Anyone else seeing those VTOLs? What's up with those?
: I don't know, but they're no threat to us. I'm more concerned about whether they have an escort or not- and what would be assigned to escort them.

: If you're still flying by the time your stimulants wear off, then you've got bigger things to worry about. Like your fuel levels.

Thanks for saying the same thing with more words.
Markus begins taking aim at Pansar.

: Never had them assigned to me before, good to know they last.

"Captain, is your ship nuclear-armed?"
