Author Topic: Source 2 Valve VR Portal 2 Demo Shown  (Read 1597 times)

But wait did you look at the actual video?
At what point in Portal 2 is a old/damaged npc atlas behind a door that you open with a lever.
I'm not saying it's Portal 3, but whatever we just saw probably takes place a while after Portal 2's multiplayer ending.
It's a tech demo lol, if everything in portal 2 was that detailed it would've taken up like 30 gigs of disc space

But why would we see something as specific as an old/damaged atlas getting up seemingly after the end of Portal 2?

I doubt they would animate that and use it for nothing other than a joke. It looked really detailed.

if they make a portal 3 I will be pissed because portal 2 ended on such a good note

I didn't say it was portal 3. I just said it was something that takes place after portal 2 and involves an old/damaged atlas.
As said in my second loving post in this thread.

What do you think you just saw though. It was a really loving old Atlas. What do you think that's for.

a tech demo

a tech demo
You know what's usually in a tech demo? A DEMONSTRATION OF loving TECH.
What do you think the purpose of showing an older Atlas was.

I don't know but it doesn't mean this would hint that this is something after portal 2's multiplayer

cus they already have the art assets for atlas?

I don't get what your saying. How would Atlas be old if it isn't after Portal 2's multiplayer?

They also already have assets for every other character that has been in a valve game ever.
But they specifically chose to show us a really loving old Atlas.
For no reason.

because they made him that way for this specific demo I would guess
its jumping to some serious conclusions that they're doing something related to portal 2's multiplayer. also, you're saying loving a lot

well hold on to your butt mat patrick, tech demos are not catalogues to the future plans of game companies.

i think a portal 3 game is possible, and maybe in the pipeling, but this is far from proof.
