union unveils their modular full-infantry bodysuit armor thing for all weather and hazardous conditions
since it's based off of the swedish modular space hardsuit, the development of it was mostly adapting the functions of the spacesuit for infantry combat and cost.
basic models have a basic health monitoring system and temperature control, along with some other built-in functions like IFF and flashlights
special forces models have super cool built-in HUDs and interfaces that also offer imaging modes and datalink software.
some rather utilitarian functions from the spacesuit like the grapple hook are included by default but can be removed.
even i think that this is getting seriously ridiculous
it's loving 2016
you can't have huge space stations, iron man suits, nanobots, and functional railguns
i mean we're allies so obviously i would appreciate this but out of character i think it's absurd
the russians look at railgun designs
"this is stupid why not just use a copper coil and blast it with electricity"
a nearby scientist opens his mouth to speak and an engineer slaps him in the face
a nearby historian opens his mouth to speak and decides the better of it
the NSSR announces new coilgun experiments to refine much older ideas because coilguns are actually more efficient and easier to control but harder to time
they also experiment with different coil designs to avoid or lessen the issue of turning the coils on and off
another russian scientist orders a spyder laser off of the internet
"wow this thing is really powerful"
he is interested in weaponizing it because russia
he gets laughed at and vows to prove the nonbelievers wrong!
