Instead of posting a new thread, I'll just say stuff here.
I haven't been able to play Halo 4 or anything later than that, mostly because I don't own an Xbox 360/Xbox One, but I wouldn't mind sitting down and having a game in the near future.
Halo 2 is a game I still study extensively; I just recently spent 3 months extracting the game's audio, learning how the audio system works and then trying to replicate that in Scratch. I watched the developer commentaries and all the behind scenes videos; hell, me watching the Halo 3 Bonus Disc ViDocs is half the reason I wanted to become a game developer.
The weirdest thing is that I didn't even start playing Halo seriously until about 2008. And in all that time, I think the game is really stupid, and yet it's also really fun when you first play it. It might be my nostalgia filter and me starting to grow tired of shooters, but I've had a lot of fun with Halo and I'd like to go back to it one day in future.
