whether you really believe that they belong to you or not, it does imply that
after a girl breaks up with you and dates someone else, I dare you to tell the girl that that guy stole her from you

even if you're too stubborn to understand that it does imply possession, it absolutely, without a shadow of a doubt, says that she didn't make the decision for herself (which she did)
