Can't be.
According to logic if the first firelink shrine is really an illusion then the game is 100% more depressing than it is and that's saying a lot. Lol
Dark souls usually picks the most depressing outcome.
but if it's an illusion how do you buy things from the people there
is my +8 heavy zweihander an illusion because I bought it from the shrine and it was refined there

First of all that firelink shrine is not connected to the actual world
firelink shrine and the cemetary of ash are right under lothric castle

firelink shrine and the cemetary of ash are right under lothric castle

No.

The second firelink shrine is directly under lothric castle.

The first one you cannot visit physically and you magically warp to lothric without ever interacting with any lothric bonfires. There is no way into the first firelink and there is no physical way out of it.

you can see the castle from the cemetary of ash if you weren't blind

you can see the castle from the cemetary of ash if you weren't blind
he's saying it's not real because you can't directly access the cemetary of ash from lothric castle

which is a goofy reason to say it isn't real since the cemetary of ash isn't even connected to the high wall of lothric

untended graves doesn't even make sense how are you on the outer wall of a castle, climb up a ladder, go down an elevator and through a """garden""" and suddenly you're in a place devoid of any light

also to access the high wall of lothric from firelink shrine you warp to the / a lordvessel, not a bonfire

untended graves doesn't even make sense how are you on the outer wall of a castle, climb up a ladder, go down an elevator and through a """garden""" and suddenly you're in a place devoid of any light
this is why I feel like the untended graves is an illusion if anything
it's essentially either the past, future, or simply a vision of the actual cemetery of ash
dark souls has always been forgeted with it's times and things considering time is "warped" according to the games, everybody is either dead or gone with one exception and gundyr isn't infested with the abyss parasite stuff

if i remember how my friend phrased it, untended graves and that firelink shrine is from a sorta failed state, whoever was in charge of linking the flames there, didnt and thus brought that darkness

CUT MY LIFE INTO PIECES

also why is watchdogs of farron so broken on PC. whenever i join aldrich faithful, i get summoned before i can even move ten feet. but watchdogs of farron i can't get summoned for the life of me. regular invasions work pretty instantly in farron so its clearly not the issue.

i think once hawkwood is in the mausoleum the farron covenant goes poopoo

wait until you try to get summoned for darkmoon

also for me being terrible at the game, the dancer was a sorta fun fight and really made me appreciate proper hitboxes

I don't understand how the old lady can be in two places at once. Not possible even with fantasy lore like this.

One of them is an illusion.

i dont have the game (wish i did) but i heard the plot has some theories involving screwy time travel and stuff involving the first boss

or it's weird timelines
if you don't speak to the handmaiden at all until you speak to her in the untended graves she will recognize you in firelink

yeah, the untended graves is what Cemetery of Ash would look like if the world was in the age of darkness. you find champion gundyr there and he was apparently destined to link the flame, but was too late

Back in the old days it was always 3 vs 1. Really unfair, right?

Now in DS3 people were complaining at first because now the host is allowed to summon another phantom. OH NO! 1 host and 2 phantoms were bad now there is 1 host and 3 phantoms!

Well that's just part of the fun because even if there is 4 good guys there can be 2 bad guys making it 4 vs 2.

There is also 3 vs 3 fights.

Even 2 vs 4.

invasion/ganking has never been more balanced than it is now.
