found a two-shot assault rifle, probably one of the most op weapons in the game.

lucky, all I got was a pipe revolver with that effect.

if it helps i also got a kneecapper plasma sniper and a .50 sniper that does 50 points of radiation damage

Regarding radiation damage I'm so disappointed with how weak the Gamma Gun ended up being

It felt like there was so much buildup, with how rare/expensive the ammo was and how long it took to find one and how much they were worth, only to be borderline useless

With the lack of Damage Threshold pretty much every weapon is useless.

It all depends on what does the most damage now.

and especially because 80 percent of enemy types are healed by radiation

At least the Gauss Rifle was a badass substitute

forget i never have any ammo

I used to have a couple hundred .50 rounds, but now I struggle to keep more than 20 on me at a time. I've been carrying a gauss rifle to compensate, but it just doesn't have the accuracy, the charge-up isn't a good feature for long-distance sniping, and the ammo is just as if not more rare. Down to about ~70 2mm rounds. I mainly use it as a battle-rifle type of weapon. I've got a sick ass legendary laser musket setup, but I'm starting to think a normal hunting rifle might be the best substitute to my .50

also, how much weight worth of stuff do you guys usually carry? Like without any junk or loot. For the longest time I hauled around 150-160 lbs, but since then I've lightened up my armor and weapons and now I'm at 125-130. My max carry weight is only 280 I believe lol

i never seem to expend a constant supply of random stuffty aid items so around 130

I try to carry around 90 or less if I can help it. Total weight is something like 250 before deep pockets armor upgrades

iunno man. my gamma gun does 300 damage. not as useful against mutated creatures like the game says, but still useful.

I like to keep my weight around 130-140ish whenever I leave home.
It used to be around 100 or less, but I have combat armour, modded sniper rifle, modded combat rifle, chinese sword, gatling laser and currently playing with a laser rifle.

I always go out in power armour with mods for increased weight gain, and most of my regular armour is deep pocketed.
I carry no food items, and only have 3 Jet, 3 Radx and 3 Radaway when I leave for .9 weight.

My companion, if human, always has power armour. If on my own with or with Dogmeat I get like +100 capacity from Lone Wanderer perk.
Under the right circumstances I can have 500 capacity.

It used to be around 130.
I lightened it up to about 90 and then 80 by not carrying as many aid items.

It's now 130 again due to me now having heavier armor and carrying around a 25lb assault rifle.
My maximum carry weight is 250, 280 including gear that i usually wear that increases my maximum carry weight.

Even with like 500lb I only end up with like ~50lb for scavenging

The weight system is an old archaic system for videogames.

It should be down to inventory space. A grid system.
