I already read something about them wanting to do a New Vegas 2 as well.

I doubt it's going to happen.
The last thing I want is New Vegas 2.
Like, can we not go somewhere original?

And they won't touch NV again anyway, because the ending was so diverse that the canon they choose will wipe away most players choices in NV 1.
And if they find a way to bring all the endings to the same point where you could start off without issue, it would be hamfisted at best, with several endings no longer making sense.

I think a series has more impact if it's in the same location.

Take point of Assassin's Creed. It's a new location and time period per game. No one cares about the region as they will just forget about it in the next game.

Pokemon gold/silver you could travel to the pokemon red/blue/yellow island. It may have been limited but everyone loved that.

Majora's Mask had some previous Ocarina of time references. Which totally held that game together.

Fallout 1 and 2 are in the same area. Fallout 2 has more locations and you could come across previous settlements from the first game.

People like seeing the progress of the previous game start building up in a sequel.

yeah, this. obsidian's potential was pretty wasted on the new vegas setting

c'monnnn radioactive lobstermen

There's the entirety of post-apoc America to explore though.
We've all seen that region of America before.

There's not going to be much fun in seeing the same NCR/Legion drama we've already seen before.
Why not take us somewhere brand new? Where there are no BoS or no NCR or no Enclave.
Some new environment with new creatures, enemies and allies.

And a lot less sand.

would be cool to have a cold setting. somewhere with snow.

I wonder if Alaska or Canada would work.
We would have new environments and retain the 50s America theme, given that Canada was annexed.
But we'd also get a chance to explore a bit of foreign culture too, with a larger Chinese presence in Alaska, and a Canadian culture in Canada (obviously).
That would appeal to me.

Anchorage plays an important role in fallout history, it would be cool if Alaska got to be a location.

Well that's just plainly false.

What is the most memorable thing in a specific Assassin's Creed city you've played?

Don't say climbing the highest building to jump in a hay cart.

Rowing through the narrow waterways of Venice in AC:2
Exploring and climbing up the Castel Sant'Angelo in AC:Brotherhood
Finding my way through the crypts of Boston in AC:3
Sailing through the Caribbean, particularly traversing the Mayan temples to get the Mayan Stelae in order, in AC: Black Flag.
Sneaking through the looted building of Versailles in AC: Unity
Jumping along barges on the Thames, or infiltrating the Tower of London in AC: Syndicate

What is the most memorable thing in a specific Assassin's Creed city you've played?
The first time you walk out of a Spy Base on the opposite side of the Thames with Churchill in World War 1. The view is absolutely gorgeous; there's that blood red afternoon sky, with incredible smoke effects and airplanes buzzing by, as well as the sea busy with all the warships. I was loving in love from the first sight.

For other, older experiences...

There's also something very satisfying about the way Florence in AC2 was constructed. That first time you climb up onto the rooftops and jump your way around the city without having to rush through the crowds below which you've already been doing for a while.

And despite it's flaws, Assassin's Creed III had some faultless enemy garrison encounters, such as the one on the south-west of the Frontier. There's several entry points including the tree tops, plenty of cover and about 50 guards in isolated positions that allow you to either slowly work your way through or just go blitzkrieg.

The WW1 section of AC:Syndicate, despite being short, is incredible.

Just watching the dogfights up above is beautiful.

And to also add onto AC2, I am still in love with Monteriggioni, even if there was a lot less to do there than any of the citiesin the game.

black flag is one of my favorite games because everything was done well, including a focus on exploring the region. it wasn't a densely packed city (though those did exist) it was the entirety of a sea you were allowed to explore, with so much to do. also because captain kenway is amazing
