why is tony complaining about legendary weapons being unrealistic when the whole game itself is unrealistic

if i can run around with my rooster out carrying a 30 pound slingshot that shoots miniature nuclear bombs, killing giant crabs and green people in this game, or drink a loving soda to heal my bullet wounds and broken bones, no part of that is realistic

You know, the person who wrote DnD said yes magic isn't real but that doesn't mean it shouldn't make sense. Even magic has its own "realistic" standards.

Now when you have stupid ass magic attacks that don't make sense and your only explanation for it is "magic" that does not make good gameplay. It  has to be plausible.

Yes Fallout isn't realistic but considering how you have an unlimited capacity single track mini nuke launcher that shoots 10 mini nukes at once, that doesn't make sense. You can't use "well the game is not realistic" for this example.

Laser weapons, ghouls, super mutants, etc may not be realistic but they are at least plausible in that universe. The legendary weapon variants are basically "magic" guns with little to no plausible explanation as to how they work. It's like I'm playing Oblivion or Skyrim.

Teleporters in the clip that lead to a stockpile of ammo

In NV searching for the person who killed you wasn't even a top priority. If Bethesda developed Fallout New Vegas they would have made benny an unkillable character and saved him for the final boss fight.

The game would also have a stuff ton of unkillable faction leaders.
What makes you think that?
As far as i'm aware, Fallout 4 doesn't make any characters unkillable until a boss fight, and only one of the faction leaders is unkillable (which i don't really think is any different than new vegas' yes man)

There's also the fact that previous Fallout games also had legendary weapons.
Even the almighty New Vegas.
But tony seems fine with looking over that just so he can harp on Fallout 4 some more.
I'm pretty sure if new vegas was made by Bethesda he'd be saying things like "New Vegas' guns skill is basically like an over powered borderlands skill"

There's no explanation for being able to reload saves, either.
They should remove that and make the game unplayable after you die once, it'll make for better gameplay!

lolwat

It's a joke.
I obviously don't actually think that.
I understand you're joking, but that is an absurd argument against what Tony said.

The "legendary" weapons NV were incredibly different to what is considered legendary in Fallout 4. There is no comparison.

For example the lengendary mini nuke in NV that could protect you from explosions had a loving blast shield mounted onto it. It wasn't a magic stat.

In Fallout 4 you could have a fatman that has increased damage based on how much addictions you have to drugs. ?????

That has nothing to do with anything I said. It completely went over your head.

You're comparing a meta game function to in-game lore. What are you talking about?

In Fallout 4 you could have a fatman that has increased damage based on how much addictions you have to drugs. ?????
I can see why you could be confused by this because this isn't in the game

Only legendary Fat Man in the game

It is, my friend has 3

Molten you should play Fallout 1, 2, 3, NV and Fallout 4 on survival if you want to try defusing my claims all the time.

Well I can tell you don't play on survival then.

Oh yeah I dumbed

But let's talk about that fat man you brought up in New Vegas. I looked at it and I fail to see how it can add radiation resistance, do explain how it works please.

Well considering how you never played New Vegas and are still trying to prove me wrong I guess I have to bring it up for you.
