aren't the RPG stats in the fallout universe canon? Maybe ncr soldiers just have stuffty stats and legion knows it

I think the stuff like the You're S.P.E.C.I.A.L. book or the Vitomatic Vigor Tester are just there to make it more than a boring stat point selection menu, and any mention of the stats is probably just a meta joke from the developers

If it was canon then I guess Ulysses took Almost Perfect and found all the bobbleheads

I kinda wanna install TTW but I don't want to redo all my mods.

Morally driven implies that their actions have a non-evil element to them. They don't. The actions themselves are intrinsically evil, and no amount of moral posturing or half-assed justification will change that.

Additionally, saying that they "take things WAY too far" implies that they are going something "good" or doing something that can possibly be overbearing. I posit that in order to "take something too far" there has to be a good act behind it. There's are practically no good acts in the legion.
I still have to disagree. I think ethics may be a better word instead of morals. Maybe. I'm not arguing the legitimacy or defending any part of what the Legion does. Personally, I don't give a stuff about any of the factions, besides the guys that run the Tops (their name escapes me). Just look at it. Look at my argument about Nipton. Look at what he said. You have to look at not what they do, but what causes them to do it. Now, of course, there's a hint of arrogance in there, but that comes naturally after awhile of doing what the Legion does.

In the old games you just started the game which took you to character menu. You could chose 1 of 3 premade characters and each with a biography, or you could make your own character from a menu that looks like this:

from there the game started

SPECIAL is just a modified GURPs system for character creation, beth went a bit crazy by having a book on the group saying that you are "special" like you are the chosen one who was chosen by god to be the best of all men to save the day.

honestly I hope they re-add the jock shocker from fallout new vegas, that was the best item in the game

If you're saying that their ethics are evil, then yeah, I'd agree with you. Their society is evil down to the very bone.

I hope this game doesn't become too much of a shooter/action game, I still wanna feel like I'm just trying to survive, not take over the god damn world

Also, I hope there are hilarious but non-game-breaking bugs

Honestly, I think Bethesda is gonna knock it out of the loving park. I'm sure it's gonna be incredible in all the right ways even with their trade mark glitches which honestly feel like a signature for Bethesda at this point. If they do nail it, I hope valve takes notes for HL3.

ah yes the classic "squeeze someone between a door and a wall and watch him fidget around like he's having a goddamn seizure."

i hope they change the wonky ass karma system
because stealing from the legion is gonna make everyone think i'm evil

or "repeatedly hit someone with a barrel until they die"

I'll give you that one. The karma system definitely needed work.

New Vegas basically gave no forgets to the karma system inorder to enforce the faction reputation system thing.

infact the only thing that karma affects at the top of my head is whether or not Cass stays as a companion to you or not. if you lose too much karma when Cass is a companion she pretty much tells you to either change or go forget off. immediately missile'd her after she ditched me because first of all it was a Legion run.
