I'm actually not sure I like the new Power Armor thing

It seems like a cheap gimmick, I'm hoping it feels different once I play it for myself

I actually really enjoy the thought that it might feel a lot heavier, more tanky I guess. Power armor in 3 and New Vegas was always just the elite tier armour that slightly slowed you down, it seems like there evolving it to a sort of vehicular activity now.

They should bring back Damage Threshold like how New Vegas Did. Damage threshold being the total amount of damage that can be negated. When Combined with Damage threshold and Armor Class you were pretty much unkillable as very few weapons can drop your health while everything else will do 0.

You better hurry up on that refund, Valve!

classic collection is 9.99

yeah i don't know how the brotherhood of steel guys or your own character would be able to clunk around in power armor 24/7 so i like it being a temporary thing

jesus christ what is the vignetting there? i hope that's just a demonstration thing and won't be in the final game (or, if it is, optional.)

Possibly due to being in power armor, not sure.

Paladin Rhombus slept in his T-51 and you'd run into large 10+ man patrols of power armored Paladins in Fallout 1. T-51s ran off microfusion cells which were described as being able to run for more than a few hundred years. T-45 on the other hand was a lesser armor that burned through small energy cells like crazy. Using Paladins for all the tasks? They had knights which wore combat armor and during times of peace acted as laborers and manufacturers while the scribes designed and studied technology.

What'd they do when they wanted to eat or take a stuff?

This ain't gonna refund in time...

This is going to require some trust, but if someone could get me Fallout 3 GOTY for Steam via gift (or code, albeit I must try to use it first), I will trade something equal to $10 as soon as the rest of my money arrives on my account. I'm desperate to get this and I promise you I WILL return the favor.

EDIT: My Steam if anyone is willing to trade: http://steamcommunity.com/id/cowboydude/

NOTE: Someone is currently gonna try and get it for me, be advised to not purchase it if you planned to do the trade. Hopefully they come through.

I'm curious to know if this is just because we're using T-60 power armor, which is much bulkier than the T-45 (Fallout 3/NV) and the T-51 (Fallout 1/2/3/NV).
It's so large that it's more like a vehicle than a suit.

But it makes me wonder, especially given our ability to customise it with pieces from other types of power armor, whether we will still have T-45/T-51 power armor available to wear, in a similar style to Fallout 3/NV.
That way we can have a serious heavy-duty suit, which is much less agile, and possibly difficult to traverse long distances in (in this image of the HUD inside the T-60, there's a dial regarding the 'Core'. I wonder if this is perhaps related to a power-level, and the suit needs to be powered by energy cells of some kind, thereby adding a cost to using the suit), while we can also have a regular high-end armor for regularly exploring in.

happy great war day
Bombs won't fall until towards the end of the day. :P Maybe this morning...

Regardless, we got a few hours.
