Yes, Bethesda Game Softworks with Bethesda Studios as the publisher.
:panda:

(Fallout 2 also has a fairly large fan-made patch that I would say is required).
based fixt mod

speaking of mods, the mmo project on the 2238 engine is still a pretty big feat for such an old game.

BTW, I mentioned regional launches earlier;

Bethesda confirmed a while back that it is 12:01AM on the 10th November local time. Some awesome dude on reddit made a timer that uses your location to give you the exact countdown time until launch wherever you are. There's also a special surprise when the timer gets very close to 0:00.

Direct link to the timer.

Getting it physical because it's cheaper, Yay tuesday at midday maybe and then 8 hours of downloading?

Check out my Pip-Boy. It just works.

What's everyone naming their character? Own name? Something else? Remember they recorded loads of names including stuff like "forget face", I'm interested in seeing the full list if anyone happens to have it from leaks or w/e
I think I'm going to go with George, my name, just because I want to make use of the spoken names.

Normally I don't use my own name for game characters. I either use Dooble (or some variant of), or some other names I like.
Lucien is a common one I use, which might be recorded. I hope it tells you when you choose your name if it is recorded, or gives you a list of recorded names you can choose from. I would be happy if Lucien works.

Otherwise, my names aren't actual names (Ka Tasha is a fantasy name I have used for several female characters), and I'd be missing out on my name being spoken.

Some people can afford all the luxuries

^ I love that minimalism! Great moves, keep it up, proud of you!

"It just works"

It's been confirmed; retail discs have 5.5GBs of compressed data. The other 25GBs has to be downloaded from Stream.

The good news is that I'm getting the Australian copy; UK/AU/NZ copies only have the English language, which probably means a smaller install size.

Almost dont understand the point of disks anymore.

Generally speaking you can share them with other people.
I don't know if that works with Steam though. But that's the benefit in having them for a console, even if you still have to download most of the game.

I have a really stuffty, unstable Internet connection. Even if I get the NBN soon (a Government scheme to replace/upgrade the network infrastructure and make everything faster), I'll still be on 3rd world country speeds compared to you yanks.

I'd rather pickup a disc and save having to wait 3 days of pain and misery because I can only download one thing at a time. Besides; I want the disc to go inside my Fallout Anthology nuke.

uk/aus version is 23.8 GB
