Why are they even doing this kind of release anyway? Is it supposed to make it so PC users don't get it earlier than people who have to buy it at a retail store at midnight local time? It seems ridiculous
In my experience, the dudes in charge like to do weird things that you would find weird. Ideally everyone would have access to it at once.
My guess is that their current approach is intended to buy them them to catch last minute bugs in time before it reaches Europe and North America.
