One of my settlers died. Had a synth component.
Great now I got synth settlers. Now I need to figure out who to kill.
Settlers can be synths?
Wow, i think that's a pretty cool concept.

If I want to kill a quest giver and not get the super cool rare quest reward item then that's my problem.
Yes, it is your problem, and no one wants to hear about it anymore.

Anyone encountered the glitch with Railroad Quest: Underground, Undercover, where it won't progress past the objective of "continue working with Father"?

It is supposed to stop for you to complete Mass Fusion, and then Pinned for the Institute.
Then you should have the quest end and trigger Precipice Of War, followed by Rockets' Red Glare for the Railroad.

However, I finished Mass Fusion, and according to the Wiki Father should talk to me in order to start Pinned.
According to the Strategy Guide, Pinned isn't necessary and the next stage of Underground Undercover should trigger, requiring me to wait for Z1-14 to contact me.

Except neither Father nor Z1-14, or Desdemona, will speak to me, so I can't seem to continue.
I might have to reload to my Mass Fusion save, since I can't force the quest to happen on Console, and currently I can't continue with the Railroad or Institute stories!

Maybe just try killing everyone

guys, look through your villagers. if you see a duplicate, corral them off and hold a hunger games.

Since there's no real Fallout thread, I thought I'd just report in here;

I cannot figure out how anybody played Fallout 1. I just tried it, and there's no tutorial regarding the controls or the gameplay mechanics (I worked out action points work differently, but is the game turn-based or what?). I guess I need the manual, but come on lads.

fallout 1 is easy just watch a youtube tutorial

Fallout 1 is from an era where reading the manual was required

It has also aged horribly

It's one of the few games i looked up a walktrough on a few occasions where i got lost in a quest that didn't tell me stuff

Its honestly not that hard to figure out though. I was like 7 when I played it and I was able to figure it out.

not really. the game is quite easy once you learn the basics, like any other "hard" game.
