Well, it goes with the story. Nobody can tell Synth from humans unless they're obvious (like Nick) or you've got the info from the Institute.

If it's anything like terminator rules a dog could easily detect a synth. If you can train a dog to detect cancer you can train a dog to detect a robot.

I'm going to make a synth death camp. I'm going to send suspected synths to an empty settlement camp I made so I can execute them.

I don't want any synths in my settlements.

Once I saw a guy fighting himself and eventually one of them died but this was early in my playthrough and I didn't really know what a synth was so I just killed the other one which turned out to be a synth.

I saw that early on too, ended up helping the real guy kill the synth

You can even buy a dog for 250 caps and station it to a settlement and it counts as 5 points as defense yet it doesn't sniff out synths. That's really dumb.

must be a mod since i dont have dogs in defense catagory

Got to buy them from a random encounter.

The lack of hardcore mode is ridiculous. You can farm crops, make water purifiers and set supply lines so you're all set for having enough food and water without worrying about whether you'll die if you don't eat or drink.

These synths will kill your settlers if you don't act fast enough.
So that's why some of my settlements have randomly dropped in population.

Anyone I can watch that just does stuff like settlements and avoids spoilers?

You got 4 methods of weeding them out.

Check their energy resistance

Get a dog

Observe strange behavior

The pusillanimous individual method: Kill everyone then reload.

I would send anyone with an abnormally high energy resistance to my slave labor camps.

Watch me, bro.
