Why is this thread lord tony pointing out small annoyances and everyone arguing over it?

because people literally cannot stop responding to bad trolls

Therefore we have mods. Can you imagine the backlash if you could kill children? Yeah, it sucks, but from a business standpoint, it's a smart move.

Um? What backlash?

It's an M rated game, what's going to happen? Soccer moms are going to refuse to let their 10 year old from playing an M rated game? GOOD!

It's also been proven that controversy in videogames sells higher. No one buys games for political correct bullstuff, look at GTA 5.

1980s robocop was rated R.

2010+ robocop is rated PG 13.

The new robocop was made to sell tickets to younger children and adults. The PG-13 rating barely helped as the box office proved that very little kids saw the movie and they just saw whatever other kids movie was playing at the time.

Here we are with a toned down robocop that fails to appeal to both kids and adults. They were literally better off making a rated R robocop instead.

So if you're going to make an M rated game to appeal towards 10 year olds you're going to be left with a bland toned down product.

The game is rated M it should act like it. As far as Fallout games are concerned Fallout 4 is the most toned down game in the series.

Why are we concerned about exposing children to a super M rated Fallout game to begin with? Kids under 18 aren't even suppose to be playing Fallout 4.

Use the loving Modify button for forget's sake.

This is why people adopt the "just install a mod" attitude: The game can't please everyone, but everyone expects to be pleased.

It should be the other way around.

If Bethesda allowed children to be killed in the core game then it should be up to you to mod it out if you don't like being offended by that.

Bethesda should worry less about trying to offend people so we can get a much better product out of it.

A developer white washing a video game and then the community picking up the slack for the developer is not the answer. The game industry is going backwards.

We gamers are paying for an unfinished product that we have to fix ourselves without getting loving paid for it.

Yes. Not being able to kill children = unfinished and terrible game. I'll write that down

okay this is definitely trolling

Is there any difference between gwinnet ale/brew/lager/etc?

Yes. Not being able to kill children = unfinished and terrible game. I'll write that down

The entire game is watered down in general. Generic quests, no choices, shortest map so far, no hardcore mode, stuffty console controls for the PC, etc.

I'm assuming they are saving all the good stuff for the DLC packs which will most likely not affect the main game world.

Tony. You saw the backlash that GTA V faced for having killable women in their games. stuff got pulled from the shelves in Australia. Logically speaking, you are correct. The only problem is that logic is no longer a priority in this world.

In Australia.

I doubt it hurt GTA 5's sales though. I doubt they even cared.

When their games get banned worldwide I'm sure that's when they will start to care.

killing children seems like more of a moral issue than a logical one lol

do i care? no. i think that, from a design perspective, a game should follow its own rules. if you want to implement some kind of morality system into your game that's fine, but it shouldn't close off gameplay opportunities. just my Thoughts and Opinions. i'm not going to avoid buying a game because i can't slaughter children, but i think it gives a weird incongruity to disallow it

GTA 5, the current record holder sold $800 million in its first day.

If it wasn't pulled from Australia I'm sure they could have made like 801 million!

Hatred for an AO rated game it actually did make a decent amount of money and became the number 1 sold game on steam for awhile.

AO rated games are incredibly hard to sell, that's a pretty big accomplishment.
