the wii - u was a masterpiece
Yeaahhh, no. The Wii U is a good console, but nowhere near being a masterpiece.
yeah they're about limiting the software while still doling out money hand over fist

people who still play on consoles for anything other than exclusives are only hanging on because of tradition and imho it's a tradition that's killing modern gaming

edit: To clarify though the direction nintendo has been taking for the past few years strays away from the dangerous territory of just becoming outdated and outclassed hardware. When you get to a point where there's no reason not to use a PC instead of that certain console, anything created on the console first, or specifically for the console, is limited to the constraints of the hardware.

Nintendo consoles are good on having unique features that makes it stand out from just being a weaker piece of hardware, and that's why I prefer nintendo consoles over all else.
I agree, especially when comes to the newer consoles now. But what exactly do you mean by the "tradition".

I know this is a bit early to think about it, but it's true, all of our generation's idols will die in our lifetime.
morgan freeman will most likely die in the next 15 years just think about that

For some people, all they've ever played on is a console. It's what they're familiar with. Their tradition is to buy the latest console with their favorite brand, regardless how well it runs or what it costs.

As far as cost effectiveness and limitations go, your best bet is with PC gaming as of right now. There's nothing that the Xbox One or Playstation 4 offer exclusively beyond exclusive software.

Why did we change the topic from Iwata's death to talking about how horrible Nintendo is?

You say that now, but you haven't played Splatoon with motion controls. For a lot of people, it's easier and more precise than they can be with a mouse.

Nintendo released a second PDF. It's in Japanese but the English one is probably following soon.

As far as gimmicky controllers go, it's the best loving one I've ever seen.

For a lot of people, it's easier and more precise than they can be with a mouse.

I have played it with motion controls and it is utter stuff in terms of control. You have no clue what your talking about.

Just because you can't use them properly doesn't mean that it's stuff, what? It's called "subjectivity," friend.
