BLF is /b/ without research.

Did it occur to you that the media likes to write stories about stupid and evil cops and perhaps that they have a bias towards blowing up stories of wrong doing which occurs 10% of the time rather than 80-90 percent of the time as you claim? Just a thought.
Yes, but I don't go to the "media" for news as I'm already aware how untrustworthy televised news is these days, I get the majority of my news from sections of the internet I can actually trust. Cops can be nice, and I'm not calling them "dog killers", I'm just saying that legitimately a good majority of the time when peoples homes are swatted (doesn't matter why they're swatted, this is for any time a swatting occurs) they do shoot and kill the family's dog, now this doesn't happen every single time a swatting occurs, but a good majority of the time it does.

and you know this how? Do you have a record of every swatting ever done?

No, don't see how I'd be able to obtain a record of such, but I see these stories though multiple social media platforms (facebook, instagram, twitter, etc.) where people who's homes have been swatted and themselves or friends of theirs spread the word about whatever incident has taken place

Tell me, do you think someone is more likely to share an event that happened if the police officer harmed one of their pets or if no damage was done and nobody was hurt? The more extreme the outcome of the swatting the more likely it shows up on your dashboard/timeline/whatever. It would severely skew the ratio.

Well that's how it works, doesn't it? I don't understand what you're exactly saying besides that yes, the more extreme the outcome, the more visibility it would receive. But considering how much other stuff is floating out in the internet and on those social media platforms, a good amount of these stories usually don't make headline news and stay on the down low. Most likely the community they live in is very aware of the situation, but the rest of the globe isn't going to see every single incident unless they look for them. Now I'm not saying I've seen every single swatting incident known to the internet, I'm just saying a good amount of those I see usually don't make headline news. Some do, but a majority don't. Now while they may report on swatting instances quite frequently, they don't cover the majority of them, and usually repeat one story for a few days because that's how the news is. One story can be headline news for a week or so, which can exclude other reports of swatting from the majority of the population.

So the ratio that you see is different from the actual ratio. We don't know how far off; and I'm not pretending to have an answer to that. The point I'm trying to make is that you can't make an assumption based off of inaccurate data, which is unfortunately all we have. It could be off as much as 30-75% depending on how much visibility each different scenario gets. Unless you were to go and get police records for all instances of swatting, you'd never be able to tell the real percentage.

Absolutely, now I can admit me stating the percentage of swatting was quite ignorant of me, but otherwise it's somewhere in that ballpark. And if I'm to correct myself, what I meant was that 80-90% of the time where a swatting occurs and a dog is present, not the entirety of all swattings (which is obviously a mistake on my part). But otherwise, yes, all data here is practically inaccurate data without seeing an actual record.

for anyone wondering how i tracked him down, first, a longgg time ago, when taco was a younger, he told me his name. Stupid right? but from there, we found some skype accounts that his mom uses, first, we thought we could resolve them to get the ip, but, strange, those skype accounts were on a vpn... suspicious, so from there we knew it was taco. Then we took some evidence from some footage i recorded, i dared taco to show me hes ip for half a second, but instead he just turned off his vpn and let me see a minimized tab of his geolocation. Mwallah, right there, is the best clue. If you look, very closely, its says taco lives in southeast tennessee, then we did a little whitepages search on tacos mom. the only result: a lady who lives in southeast tennessee. Bam, that must be taco right? but i wasnt sure, so we contacted the police, they broke tacos vpn and found the exact same location.Wow, im still amazed. I actually caught a swatter faster than the police. Welp, i would give you guys information on where he lives but unfortunately i cant. its considered "tampering with police evidence" so sorry guys. Lets just hope that taco gets thrown in jail.

Well, he's a.. Bad Taco.
I am so Sorry./size]

Really though, hope that ass goes to jail.
