it gets even worse when the game has a walk key

the normal run speed is faster than the npc
the walk speed is slower than the npc

COME ON
as far as running goes, you should be faster (just in case you get stuck somewhere and need to catch up)
but yeah, walking shouldnt be that slow.

WOLVES HUNT IN PACKS ARISEN

any protagonist npc in any fps game really
they do nothing
you're doing all the work
The arbiter in halo 3 was actually a pretty good protagonist NPC as he always fought alongside Master chief in most of the campaign

You play Misery? I play Misery. It's gotten to the point where if I hear a single dog bark, I just quick-load. Not even worth it.
Misery Black Road start, never got out of zaton...

. NPCs also appear to have rubberband AI that allows them to ram a supercar off the road despite having a inferior vehicle.
this seems to happen with every GTA game i've played-- especially San Andreas.
theres a problem on the freeway where they're going INCREDIBLY fast. if you somehow scare them (hitting them, shooting a weapon, etc) they will go their normal, city speed. they're able to ram your ass back to the other city.

PATROLLING THE MOJAVE ALMOST MAKES YOU WISH FOR A NUCLEAR WINTER

Micro Machines V4

it destroyed my childhood.

the enemy lowrider npc in that one mission of GTA SA

it took me longer than the train mission just to figure out you had to use numpad keys

^^^^^
i hate this. why isnt the player's walk speed in most games the same speed as an npc walk?

So you can catch up to them in case you get distracted and wander off the beaten path.
