Author Topic: Windows 10 Thread | I AM LATE BUT IT'S HERE FOR A LOT OF PEOPLE  (Read 135122 times)

Okay after reading some reviews, I'm going to take off my Torfoil hat and try to find the best way to go about upgrading. I have 64bit Windows 7 Home Premium at the moment. What's the best way to go about updating?
just use the installer

-blahblahweirdstuff-
only thing i would like to point out from that is that you'd only be affected if you store your password in a text file on your desktop

i'm on hold with microsoft trying to see if they can deactivate this key so i can use it on my machine.

Just use the installer man, and if you ever change your mind it's never too late to switch back to 8.1 or earlier.

What? Why would I need to have a password in a txt file on my harddrive for them to be able to grab my files from my harddrive?

Working on a response for you, Nakaro. Do you want to continue over PM, by the way?

Woop on Windows 10, this is actually really sick. Didn't format though even though I clicked Clean Install. So I'm gonna burn Windows 10 to a USB and format through there

Also Edge may end up being my default browser, chrome was becoming a pain with the memory issues and Edge seems just as simplistic/fast without those issues.

does clean install get rid of everything like pictures, videos, downloads, and other things? what does it get rid of?

no idea but my system is the same, 119GB free before and 119GB free after

This. They actually did an amazing job with Edge. This time around they don't have a stuffty web browser.

still on hold with microsoft. 1 hour on hold.

They changed to keybind thing or whatever to change keyboard layout from ALT + SHIFT to CTRL + SHIFT
loving gay, no wonder my keyboard layout always changed.

when windows 10 installed my desktop wallpaper was black
did this happen to anyone else?
