"Hey hey hey buddy!" he says smiling, "Dude, I was just joking. I'd never hurt you! Here, come on."

He pulls you by the arm into the kitchen and away from the family members.

"Look, we need to have a talk," he says as he sits down in a chair. "Things didn't start off on the right foot last week. I was very upset about your ma and her passing. I also knew that if your father had been around, she could've gotten optimal treatment for her cancer and even if she couldn't have been saved, he could still look after you.
