they tried making a Skyrim / mmo inspired thing

emphasis on tried, but it still plays quite nicely

I'm not sure if the BLF community would be interested in it as it's vastly different from tekkit or volts, that being instead of a focus on advancing technology, its geared toward exploring and getting better gear. from either dungeons or crafting

The wiki puts this as:

Hexxit is a collection of mods for Minecraft that put adventure above all else, in the style of old Dungeons and Dragons campaigns. Exploration is interesting, the dangers are greater and the sense of satisfaction of clearing out a dungeon is intense.

I personally don't want to do Tekkit classic again, since the server has already done it

The reason everyone thinks its down is because the topic title is "Nonnel's VANILLIA Minecraft 1.8 Survival Server".
Which means everyone is trying to join the server in 1.8 and it shows up as offline and that you can't connect to the server.
