i think the rebel flag is now used to depict a rebellious attitude and promote your heritage and all that stuff

just think about it. not every southerner was tribal, the vast majority didn't even own slaves
same with the germans in the second world war, not everyone was a full on national socialist jew-gassing machine
that really isn't my point though. I'm not trying to demonize regular people at all, all I'm trying to get at is after both of those events the symbol took a different meaning. trust me, nobody gives a damn about the swastika's old meaning. quite frankly, it doesn't matter anymore compared to what it means now.
the same is true, to an extent, with the confederate flag. if you want to be proud of your heritage go for it. but in the same way a german citizen wouldn't use a swastika to express that, a southerner shouldn't use the confederate flag to express it.
I liked Rommel
rommel was a chill motherforgeter

I would totally wear a swastika and I'm not German. It's heritage. I don't hate jews and I don't wish death on them. I want to challenge the view of the swastika because the national socialists were the only group out of dozens who have used the symbol over the years to use it as a symbol of hate. Did the Choctaw or Hindus want to gas jews when they used the symbol? How about the Romans? Or the Celts?

well the romans weren't too fond of jews either iirc

they didn't kill six million of them, so it's safe to say that the national socialists were slightly worse.

Then do it i guess? I don't control you. You just gotta accept that folks are gonna think you're a national socialist if you started wearing it around town.

And obviously I don't think people who used the symbol before the national socialists are national socialists. I don't know where you got that from, especially since i specifically said the opposite of that.

Was the reversed swastika (the one Riddler used) ever in use before? I thought he was the first to do that

no. I would never wear the national socialist swastika. I would only wear the proper one.

iirc less than 10% of white southerners owned slaves. National Socialism was great before the antisemitism set in. Thank Goebbels for that.
national socialism was great? what? it was always stuff
I think the world you're looking for is facsim and that's stuff too

i think the rebel flag is now used to depict a rebellious attitude
This is why I have it. Similar to how the Gadsden flag stirs up this same feeling. Along with my support for state government as opposed to federal.

i think the rebel flag is ... used to ... promote your heritage and all that stuff
Yes, this is why the majority of people fly it.

not every southerner was tribal, the vast majority didn't even own slaves

___

Think of it this way, he's either a tribal (m-muh states' rights) or an edgelord. Both are terrifying.
I do support states rights. I prefer small-time government. Our federal government is way too branched, in my opinion.

___

All the same, you wouldn't flaunt a flag with a swastika around the neighborhood, or get a swastika bumper sticker for your car.
On my first car in High School I had a rebel flag on my bumper sticker. Wasn't even a truck, lmfao.

At my home school, the rebel flag was a good way of figuring out the ignorant people. But that was at my home school, I don't know about the general owners of CSA flags.

your icon really confused me when i read that
