I know all of you are farther along than I am right now, but can I just say the first "fight" with Sahelanthropus after you secure Emmerich and you have to sneak back onto the chopper.

I nearly pissed my pants making my way back.

Jesus loving Christ. It wasn't particularly terrifying on the surface but I just was able to feel the scale of the damn thing as it lumbered behind me and roared and stuff.

This game, man. This loving game.
the part where you have to sneak by the probes if you lose it is pretty tight

I feel you man, the first encounter with the skulls also made me horrified when I went under the bridge to think of a way out until I realized they weren't just standing there but very slowly lumbering toward me

i got to play a bit of this game at my friends house and damn it was fun, i may get it when i have the money
although the prologue was really long and boring but that's just my opinion

MGSV is still downloading. So I'll begin my binge of playing it tomorrow. Thank god I have no school Monday. Also, give me some tips on what to lookout for, because I'd like to know where secrets and stuff are.

Supposedly a big important part of the story was cut out because they didn't have time to finish it. So stuff like that was probably looked over in their development rush
Yeah, this was supposed to be the "third" ending. There's a video of it somewhere (reddit or yt) that came off of the CE. The cutscene is only 30% complete, so some assets and models are missing but otherwise it had a ton of loving potential, I could rave on about how amazing it would've been because it was literally the best idea for a Metal Gear boss fight I've ever seen. *hint, goes into the lord of the flies theme*

and not to mention the concept art for the location itself was beautiful

hell even that big story chunk can be reworked into dlc later or something
they can, but doesn't mean they will. Unless Konami LA/EU picks up the project,  it's never gon see the light of day. What's even better is that Kojima most likely had time to finish the cut content, but most likely Konami stopped production because they were "spending too much money" on the FOX Engine and MGSV as a whole, even though they'd most likely earn back a good majority of that money, maybe even more, if they had put more time into it. rip 3rd ending.

so am I crazy or do FOBs barely work
like, it seems to be a totaly crapshoot if you'll actually get into one
they're fun when it works, but that's been three times out of maybe twenty attempts now
A bit, but the servers are completely forgeted rn. Wonder if Konami is pulling all this stuff bc of the debacle.

oh good god, as scary as that was, I loving loved it. There was one moment when I was behind a rock, and 84 was walking up, stopped, and started to walk away. I stood up and as soon as I did he came RIGHT THE forget OUT OF NOWHERE, and stomped his heavy ass foot directly next to me. Wasn't spotted, but nevertheless sprattled to the jims.

I just sent hid behind a rock, told the helicopter to go into another location, and waited. It sent the drones and stuff but eventually it wandered off towards the helicopter. I reordered the heli back to the spot I was in and, holy forget, I could see that forgeter charging at me as I was getting into it and I was stuffting my pants.
