undertale is about like one thing and in order to tell it's story about that one thing it uses the tools that it has as part of the medium to full advantage

I might be biased but I don't think it's pretentious at all

its got hipster overtones maybe but that's only in the sense that the game has an ironic or ill-conceived adoration of anime as a plot point

and lesbians

and gender-neutral characters

but like all of those things dont really work against it and some of them actively lead you to make different assumptions of the plot, which it then turns over, so its hard to vouch against their inclusion

9/10, too short for my own good but short enough for its own good
started a genocide run and regretted it right after [undyne is kill], restored my files through luck and determination. Had to redo the TP ending but it's worth it.

And as far as I can tell the game itself has a bunch of mystery and stuff in it even after I beat the game????

Saw the dunkey video and spent my entire night looking at all the videos, reading up all the lore and watching every ending, this game is loving great and papyrus' theme is the goddamn best

I tried mettaton ex but it did not work.

Keep in mind you have to use the viking hat from hatmod for Asgore.
