The girl you whom you've been receiving pre-recorded transmissions from reveals to you that you are not human, but indeed a robot who's been reprogrammed to have no purpose and it is the same girl who tells you to defeat the aliens who are in the system. She gives you a file that will make you completely self-aware and make you capable to construct other robots. However, the file is locked with a password, and only her husband, who was abducted earlier in the game, knows the password. She then asks you to find out if he's alive. It is assumed that she too has died, considering that she cuts off her oxygen supply in the transmission before.
After locating her husband's remains on a heavily-guarded asteroid, you find the password and become completely free to write your own story.
