Saying the pledge of allegiance every goddamn day at school and being forced to do it, and the national anthem at every event in the loving country, and being forced to do it?

couldn't you just talk about it in the thread where it's already being discussed

i dont mind either cus i never went to national socialist schools or events that forced me to sing them

personally i like that we still do the national anthem just because of what it stands for. i dont, however; like the pledge of allegiance. i was never faithful to god and it felt like a lie to exclaim "one nation under god"

like, if i dont believe in god does that mean im not part of the "one nation"?? thats what i thought so i never sang it i just mouthed it and let all the other people sing it for me. i stood up for it throughout all of school tho. when i got to high school i was just like "forget it" and stopped singing it

which thread is it being discussed in?

The schools can't force you to say it.
But its not like it would kill you to be a little patriotic.

At my Primary School we had to sing the national anthem once a week, depending on the type of assembly we had; if it was a simple outdoor-court one we didn't bother but if it was the full-scale thing in the Church than we were singing all the verses of that forgeter. Incredibly, I've forgotten almost all of the anthem.

It's been a great 9 years of not having to ever sing it. It's absolutely pointless.

You're not forced to do anything. You can stay sitting if you want and just twiddle your thumbs.

You don't need to do it
And every country plays their anthem at events

Except if your teacher forces you or punishes you for not doing it. Some do that.

Except if your teacher forces you or punishes you for not doing it. They do that sometimes.
They can't. If they do, you have grounds to sue the school.

is this a thing in america
holy stuff you guys are forgeted up.

do you have to greet everyone you see with the american anthem or you'll be detained?
