but tell me, if you're not authenticated, do your trades just never go through or are they just delayed?
'What is Escrow?', After a trade has been accepted by both parties, if either party's account has not been secured by the Steam Guard Mobile Authenticator, then to protect against unauthorized trades, the traded items will be placed in escrow. During the escrow period, the items will not be available to either user. This allows users who have not secured their accounts to cancel any unauthorized trades and recover their items. Canceling all pending and in-escrow trades will place a trading hold on your account for a few days to prevent any further unauthorized attempts to trade away items.
step 1. don't get scammedstep 2. there would be no need to have anti-scam measures.
This whole mobile authenticator thing is bullstuff. I don't get why people think their phone is more secure than their email ??
Havent read any of the other replies:You do realise this isn't the end of bots? Bots get whitelisted. When captchas were introduced into trading, bots were whitelisted from these so that they could still operate.
1000$ skins for weapons in a virtual game. It's as dumb and easily scammable as it sounds.

capatchas are implemented into trading?
It's loving ridiculous with some of the things they've done just to protect handicaps, like remove the /me command because SOMEONE out there thought it was a verification message.
