Author Topic: New Duplicator 1.6.2 | Now on BL Glass  (Read 230206 times)

The first time you use the command it has to build the symmetry table, that takes maybe 10 seconds.

After that you can just say /mir x again and it'll be instant until you restart the server

im not really sure if this is just me but events seem to no transfer over after duplications

Did you get my message?

Okay what the forget the new duplicator did a thing without me noticing, I saved, and now I'm missing this entire loving frigate:

As you can imagine I'm pretty loving pissed of and wondering what the forget it did that made it look as if it was ghosted but it really wasn't and then I saved and now it's gone forever loving forget forget that was 10 hours of work.

Damn... that sucks.

Though I can't imagine how that happened? What do you remember doing with it before you saved?

I was duplicating it about to make room for a carrier I'm making, made a big pretty box around it that fit it, moved it to the side and pasted it. Removed the original, everything was fine, walked on it a bit (so it wansn't just a ghost render or anything). I then proceeded to paste it next to itself like 10 times because I thought it looked cool and wanted to test the new duplicator.

Actually now I put it like that I think I know what happened, I prolly undid it one time too many when I removed the 10 dups and removed the original, which stayed as a ghost render forgetup (you know the ones that drop your framerate to like 5fps when you fall through them, and have no collision), worked on the carrier a bit then saved. So it's nothing to do with the duplicator in that case.

EDIT: forget my luck I forgot to reinstall save saver since I reinstalled Blockland like 2 weeks ago so it's loving permanently gone too forget me forget this forget blockland.
I can rebuild it twice as fast with the mirror function though so that's nice.

Oh well. At least you'll have a reference image now to build it much faster.

Should I add a confirm dialog for undoing large structures?

I think it'd be better if you could check if you duplicate something, then destroy what you duplicated before completely unselecting it. As in you D-wand the thing that's currently in your clipboard without having pasted it yet, if checking that's even possible. It's still completely my fault though and would have happened exactly the same with any of the previous duplicators.

I'm not sure what you mean. We already have cut and paste, press ctrl x after selecting something

Imagine I want to move a 16x16 plate 2 studs to the right. I duplicate it, d-wand the original 16x16 plate and place the new, duplicated one 2 studs to the right. A warning saying that if you press numpad 0 or whatever you use to cancel your duplication that the original is gone AND the duplication will be gone, leaving you with nothing, would be reassuring.

Nah, you'd select it, press ctrl x, move two to the right, plant it.

I guess a warning for canceling a cut selection without planting it makes sense.

All good now.

Wicked nice mirror function, works perfectly.

same thing happened to me as thearmyguy, to fix it i just buildbot'd the save :P
