this is what I meant
Thought so, I was mainly restating what you said forPlanr

From a scientific standpoint, the moment of conception.
There is no scientific standpoint here. Its a philosophical question of when a human fetus becomes "human". Quit your bullstuff, Planr.

But once the egg is successfully fertilized, doesn't it, at any stage of development then and thereafter, classify as an organism with unique genetic code?

From a scientific standpoint, the moment of conception.
From a scientific standpoint a majority of the pro life people believe in a magician in sky who made everyone and everything but yet somehow managed to forget up and create tons of death, violence, poverty, famine, disease ect ect
So from a scientific standpoint their opinions are completely invalid

their opinions are completely invalid
Because yours is any more valid?

I didn't provide one. my opinion is people should have the right to decide their own fate.

are you saying you disagree?

For the record I'm not discrediting them for their beliefs I'm just saying how taking the "science" path is a bit ironic

That's not "human" as Electrk put it. Like I said, its still a human embryo and a human fetus, but there is no set point that we have unanimously decided a fetus becomes "human".

Probably a better way to phrase it is: a person.

A fertilized/concieved Egg has a complete set of human DNA to it. That makes the child genetically Human at that point. I believe that basic fundamental Human rights apply immediately to anyone who is genetically Human, especially the right to life.

Not to play devil's advocate here, but dead people don't have any rights and they are human. Granted, the cells that make up the embryo are alive, but it doesn't start a heartbeat for a few weeks and therefore doesn't function as an actual human yet. For that reason, I don't think I'd be willing to fight Plan B pills or efforts made to end a pregnancy extremely early. Any later than that though, I'm not supportive.

explain to me how the "rights" of an unborn sack of meat cells are more important than the person who wants the abortion

Oh wait, I have a Planr response saved for this:

Jesus loving christ that's the most unenlightened halfwit bullstuff response I've ever heard

I stand by what I said there. My position on that has not changed.

Just for the record, I no longer consider myself Agnostic. I decided several weeks ago that I want to be a Christian, after much evidential examination and deliberation. Thus the reason why I believe abortion is wrong comes from the fact that I believe in God.

So you're literally saying "If the child dies, oh well, kill the mother too."
"Nothing wrong with that."

Yeah, not like the mother has the right to life too. Let's totally forget about that. This is legitimately psychopathic.
