Yeah. You need to gain affinity and level up the sword.

You can do this by fighting enemies. You should earn a bit more if you get kills with the sword, but you'll pick up affinity for all your equipped items (that aren't maxed out) for any kills (although apparently kills with abilities will give affinity only to your warframe).

Also, open containers and you can find Affinity drops, usually about 100. It's not much, but every little bit helps.
Just keep doing missions and fighting enemies. Survival, or Defense will be good for you, since you should have lots of enemies attack you.

Also, if you get stealth kills back to back, they increase the affinity gain of your next kill by +100%. So, get 5 stealth kills, and the next kill will give you +500% affinity.

I have a new problem
I recently crafted my new Cronus and I'm unable to mod the damn thing.
Do I need to use it in a battle so I can mod it or what?
EDIT: I think I know why now. Does the mod capacity increase every time you rank up the weapon? If so, can you circumvent this in some way?

only way to get more mods/points on stuff is to use a catalyst, which doubles your mod points for weapons, and to put a stance on it, which will add up to 14 extra points
catalyst (blue potatoes) are for weapons
reactors (yellow potatoes) are for frames and the such

I've not gotten catalysts and the like yet.

When they double your mod capacity, I assume that's when it's capped out at 30, right?
So you can get 60 mod points total?

the offer expires after 48 hours.
when you get one, it shows the time before it expires in the market screen.
they do not stack.

the connectivity issues warframe had the last few days, was potentially from ddoses, but not sure because there are no known sources to say that it was
