Author Topic: Why do some people hate high school so much?  (Read 3998 times)

THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THE WORSHIP, NOT THE GOD. "God", "Jehova" and "Allah" are one and the same according to the various beliefs.
Im leaning towards this explanation being correct, given all 3 deities belong to all 3 major Abrahamic religions.

It could be because of what the official school rules are in that school.

No it's not? Ever thought that kid might actually CARE about his or her grades?
you can care all day, but you aren't going to get worked up about it unless someone else is holding you to those standards (or has done so in the past)

That might be for you, but not for every other schoolchild. There are many kids out there who legitimately care about their grades because they have actual goals in this world, and they realize that the first step to achieving those goals is getting good marks.

are you saying it's uncommon for children to get pressured into getting high grades
because it's extremely common

yes. I know. plenty of people care about their grades among many other things. but I'm talking about anxiety, not just disappointment

I never said that. I said that there are some kids who legitimately care about performing well in school without their parents being abusive about it. Many kids come from broken homes and have parents who couldn't care less about their kids, yet many of these kids still take initiative and care about their grades not because someone is pushing them, but because they legitimately want to do well.

You must know very little about these religions to make such a ridiculous statement as this.

It's actually very incorrect. There are enormous fundamental differences between the gods of Christianity and Islam. All you even have to do is go and ask a Muslim, literally ANYWHERE, if they believe in the God of Christianity, or do the same with a Christian about the Islamic God, and they will almost universally give you a definite "no". I'll even get you started. Go ask Count, a user on this forum. He's Muslim (afaik).

In Islam, God is a one-person, one-being god who has drastically different teachings from both Judaism and Christianity (eg. to be saved by Allah you must obey the five pillars of Islam, do various works, and so forth). In Islam, the assertion that Jesus is God is highly scandalous; he is considered a great moral teacher and prophet, but not a diety. In Islam, believers are called to use physical violence in the defense of Islamic lands and the Islamic people. Islam teaches that countries which Muslims lead should be theocratic (religious) in operation and function, for the glorification of Islam. In Islam, God holds various moral standards that are different from the moral and lifestyle standards of the gods of Judaism and Christianity (eg. Men are not to wear Silk, Women are to wear Hijabs, Making pilgrimages to Mecca, Leaving Islam is to result in the punishment of death, etc.).

In Christianity, God is a three-person (trinitarian), one-being god who again has very different teachings from Judaism and Islam (eg. to be saved by the Christian god, you must trust Jesus Christ as having cleansed you of your sin, as works cannot save a person; this differs significantly from what Islam teaches about salvation). The Christian god calls for nations and governments to be secular in function and purpose, not for the specific promotion of Christianity over other religions (which again, differs significantly from what the Muslim god teaches). In Christianity, Jesus is considered to actually be God himself, and is worshipped as such. He's considered to be God in the flesh, and taught a message of peace and nonviolence to the point of death. The Christian god holds different moral standards than that of the Jewish or Muslim god (eg. all foods are permissible, circumcision is not required, women don't have to wear religious garbs, etc.)

I'd say Christianity and Judaism have more in common though, as Christianity is just a newer version of Judaism in a sense. Dietary restrictions and circumcision are the only things which Judaism and Islam both have in common.

Super tight dress code  for some of us, others get away with being out of dress code
Example: girl wearing yoga pants today, none of the teachers in the hallway said go to the office
Also friends aren't  really  friends, cause  I  thought  I  had  friends  but they  back stabbed me this year
