Author Topic: Internet privacy in the US is about to come to an end.  (Read 8956 times)

I have friends who immediately blamed the French for being liberal after the attacks.
However I don't see liberalism and conservatism as an answer to these problems. I just don't think you can solve a problem with two extremes. They're just hitting a nail back a forth on both sides of their wall. That's not how US should do, but it still do.

I think your friends have a point. If only the French allowed citizens to bear arms like we do here, responsible citizens could of shot the Self Delete bombers to death to prevent the hundreds of lives which are now gone.

Wait, aren't we already being watched?

you're not truly secure until you use seven proxies

Your ISP has that right???
You know when you agree to a contract with the company you sign it and it says they can do that...
Being legal =/= being okay, just like being illegal =/= being bad. And even then, the legality of it is extremely shaky at best, I don't think there have really been any big court cases on the matter yet.

Goes to show how stuffty the US government is..

they still have the right because you agree'd to their contract

yes and i just said why that doesn't make it an okay thing to do
and yes pirating is bad (in general), but it's the way they go about determining who is pirating that is causing the uproar. I'm sure if they had some magical way of telling whose pirating without invading privacy of any sort or imposing censorship, pretty much nobody would be complaining.

Introducing the rouge-wand. One wave over someone's head determines their piracy level. Anything over 50% is pirate scum.

And this is why we need to limit the amount of time people can hold offices. No one person should  have power for as long as some of government officials do.

Note: I am not saying that that is the sole problem, but it's gotta count.
