Author Topic: Election Day - Political RP - 2021 ▶ Apparently you can Annoying Orange the Krump  (Read 14509 times)

I edited the speech to hit their core values.
Time travel doesn't exist, so I'll pretend you're continuing your conversation.

"We recognize that making a strong enemy will mean we have a counter to our power, but the balance of power is necessary for prestige as a nation-state. What use is a strong country without a strong enemy?"

US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand decided to become one country, and we beat up CIA until they were only in Syria. Ronald Krump got elected, and he built a wall and started cracking down on immigration. Foreign relations are a bit shaky, and the war in Syria has flared up and it's a full-blown war - Russia was drawn further into it. So the Anglosphere is technically now at war with Russia, although only in Syria. He just got re-elected for his second term.

Also, changing the pricing on billboards. The first five are $3k, any further are $2k each (but the first 5 stay the same price), on a city basis.

And, uh, Krump already built a wall, I think I mentioned this.
Oops, ok sorry, will EDIT it.
Scott prepares to make his speech to the ___ people in the crowds (was never given results of advertisement). He sorts out his papers in preparation of his speech: “Hello citizens of Garden City, as you all know i’m running for President. I feel like the Economy of our glorious nation is falling apart thanks to Ronald Krump, did you know that last year, a total of 25,379 people got through the Mexican Border, that means 25,379 less jobs for us legal citizens and less jobs for our next generation of hard workers. If you elect me as President, I vow to make a wall even taller and thicker than ever.. Our current President, Ronald Krump, seemed to just let this happen. It angers me that our current President is doing nothing to stop them from coming into our Nation. If I become President, I shall make it easier to get guns in all states bordering Mexico. If we want our Nation to survive in this world, we will need to be able to defend ourselves! VOTE SCOTT Y’NAAZ FOR PRESIDENT, AND GOD BLESS US ALL!"

Brooks pays for six billboards along major highways across Colorado, promoting his own ideology and making jabs at Krump's presidency and the current state of affairs

Speech 3:

"Hello, citizens of the Anglosphere. I am Frederick Warner, an investing politician in the Anglosphere working for a better society and a better President to take the role of the country when Ronald Krump finishes his term. I work for the sole purpose of the people and put the nation forward. With Warden in office, a better nation can take place.
We have many issues to confront in our nation. First of all is corporation power. We need to tone down on it, but also keep up the economy as well. As MP and President, I will propose citizen-supporting bills, and hand back the power to the people and the government.
Second of all, we need to focus on the Syrian war before we can handle the backseat problems like gun control and climate change. I know you all want to see those fixed, but before that, we need to focus on safety. I will put the war in Syria on priority and head up to the spot quick and easy to handle the war.
With these goals down, nothing is in our way to become a stronger nation. Get Frederick, get prosperity. Vote Frederick for MP. Good night, everyone."

Oops, ok sorry, will EDIT it.
The speech is somewhat motivating, although the citizens severely question the logic of making more wall and that Krump "did nothing." A lot of cheers for guns, though.
1 to 10 loyalty, rolled a 3. Sorry :(

5 to 15 loyalty, rolled a 14. However, you are now in a few more areas, meaning future speeches will be more effective. 55 loyalty - great, but you may need to expand a bit more for an MP vote - we'll see (there's some luck involved).

$3k * 5 + $2k = $17,000 deducted.

Keep in mind that there's more land in the Anglosphere than just America, and Britain is fairly densely populated. You can also try for Canada, Australia, or New Zealand.

Scott hears word about how people liked the idea of better gun control for Mexico-Bordering states, so he plans on advertising on billboards along 4 highways, 2 per highway, and the signs would say: “If i’m voted for MP/President, I plan on upgrading the police force around the country, I vow to make the Agrosphere the most powerful country in the world, vote Scott Y’naaz for MP!"
After the Midwest is in my favor my new goal will be to head towards Southern Canada.

After investing advertisement into American states, Frederick decides to expand his advertisement to Britain.

150 Signs * 6 = 900
400 Posters * 4 = 1600
3 Billboards * 3000 = 9000
10 News Ads * 500 = 5000
TOTAL: -16500 Monies

The advertisements are placed all across the United Kingdom to increase popularity.

Magnus becomes interested in politics and begins to travel to cities, taking politicians of municipal and regional districts out to lunch, and begins to see which might support him.

Magnus makes inquiries with the liberal party and other like-minded parties for canvassing.  (PM me results of canvassing.)
So I guess this did nothing.

Magnus goes to some of the areas where his canvassing was most effective and begins to issue speeches.

In the more urban areas, he speaks to the pride of the nation, but that it shouldn't entirely be squandered on the past.  The nation must preserve its democratic identity, and that is something that shouldn't be lost, and shouldn't be challenged (referring to Krump's authoritarian policies).  Magnus then speaks of responsible governance, that politicians who were born out of the people have a responsibility to those same people that brought them up.

Sure. Due to training costs and low pay in the military, your income decreases to $10k. Of course, when you get back, everyone loves a soldier...

Pretty good. Roll 5 to 15: 5... shame :(
(I promise I'm not rigging these rolls.)

At least you already paid for the speech!

Your calculations are right ;)

The advertisements fetch you another 14 loyalty, especially after that last speech. You're now at 69 and have a fairly good chance of winning MP! In addition, further speeches will have a greater effect.

stuff sorry I have a lot to keep up on. Yeah, you find a fair amount of people to support you. The combined total of lunches, phone calls, et cetera set you back $200. One sec, let me just save this post and I'll re-edit.
