ayyyy

on another singed note, here's an interesting post by u/minishcap1, Challenger singed main, on why singed sucks and how his winrate would be trash if not for dedicated mains that win 60+ percent of their games.

The point that really resonates with me is the point he makes about dynamic queue being a horrible experience because it essentially legalizes boosting. As long as every player in your queue is playing on an account that they own and had created, it is completely okay in Riot's eyes to have a diamond playing in silver/gold and carrying their friends. It compromises any sense of competitive integrity that soloq had before, as there are multiple players that do not have ranks accurately representing their skill. Then, when those 'boosted' friends go to play without their diamond buddy, their teams suffer because they are behind their bracket skill-wise and are nearly dead weight at that point without a high elo player to carry them.

It's incredibly frustrating and it happens more often than not that there is one smurf and one boostee (is that even a word?) in your game and it's annoying to play with or against either of them.

one smurf and one booster*

otherwise you make great points. singed is great and all but i've noticed that on blind pick, whether or not he can really stomp depends almost entirely on the enemy comp and less on their ability to play well (unless they are absolute trash and/or never even heard of singed before)

I've found most of my Singed wins come through pressure, and fewer through teamfight presence. The hardest losses in particular are when the weakest link of the team is the ad carry. Teamfighting vs a fed ad carry is not much fun, but Singed also simply can't out-push a fed Jinx. Ad carries do so much damage to waves and towers that even if you have a rot, they still win a base race.

To be honest the problem I see with dynamic queue is as stated before, that there is virtually no assurance that the true skill levels of the two supposedly random teams are actually equal given all of the boosting going on. If your weakest player is your ad carry, you will have a very hard time in that particular game, though I think that very few top laners can carry hard enough to offset that. It's not a Singed-exclusive problem. It's a problem with dynamic queue in general.

Kha'zix looks to be DC'd.
Yi has nothing but boots, is 1/20.

I'm surprised they did as well as they did.

trist was fed like mad by our jhin who had 17 cs to her 54 15 minutes into the game

fizz also got fed early game it seems but idr who

NA LCS
"Cut in half by Bjergsen's package"
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

soloq ranked, am with 4 person pre-made
entire game, no pings (how), no one chatting.
first 5 minutes of the game? every lane is pushing, and dies because of it, and repeat.
i cant gank because theyre so pushed up, when i ping that i want to, they keep pushed.
i wait, nothing happens, i wasted all my buffs. suddenly the enemy jungler hits me, i ping for assistance, no one comes, but an enemy laner does, finishes me off before i can kill the enemy jungler. bot lane dies in the meantime

skip ahead to 20 minutes, we are losing, the enemy team has double our kills and almost all our towers, we have no towers.
i ask for FF, no one wants to surrender

i type in all chat, "my team hasnt spoken once"
my team finally talks "WE DIDNT WANT FLAME HER"
i ask in team chat what the hell he meant. silence...

i am absolutely tilted, how can they blame me when they have zero communication with me, dont let me gank, push lanes and die because of it?

the game is about to end, i say "forget dynamic queue" in teamchat. they say "forget randoms"

i tilt into next week

Like I said, dynamic queue is next level aids.

Yea dynamic queue has no place in ranked. Not sure why it had to come bundled with the new champ select instead of letting us test it out a bit more. They should've just kept ranked 5s. stuff happens tho, not much we can do about dynamic queue right now.

When it comes to a philosophical stance, however, we do want to be clear: we believe that dynamic queue is closer to representing a healthy, competitive landscape in League of Legends than solo/duo queue.
Yea okay, putting anyone not in a 3+ man queue at a disadvantage is a healthier environment. TIL. Just give us a voice chat, like Doto if we're going for a more "teambased" game. Then again, that will have its own issues but still
