tbh the problem was that she wasn't very strong as a pick until now.

yeah i could see that, i probably just missed the couple of changes that made her more suitable to the meta but ive always felt shes been pretty strong since her rework. beats me

it wasn't necessarily that ashe wasn't strong.

The problem for her was that she was overshadowed by other picks, most notably Lucian/Caitlyn/Corki

The infinity edge and ghost blade buffs really helped non-caster ADCs and ashe was kind of waiting in the shadows, strong but just not as busted as the casters. Once they got nerfed, she's come back out because the others are weaker.

that makes sense, thanks for the explanation

also top meta sifting away from tanks with high utility towards more bruiser fighter focused champs raises market value for anything that can bring it to the table from somewhere else

The infinity edge and ghost blade buffs
Don't you mean Essence Reaver buffs? Since it's one of Ashe's core items.

Also, in promos to S5. Maybe I can finally play with the good players . . .

Should I tell him

even in g2 with plat mmr i get bad players every game on both teams

this

Complete and total potatoes 24/7

3/4 of the battle is not tilting from some of the spectacularly bad plays that happen EVERY GAME.

theres bad players no matter what rank you are, i havent played in like 2 months at this point but mid gold felt no different than low silver tbh

There's always going to be bad players ya. Everything is based on chance. At the moment the players were better in higher silver than lower gold for me.

Speaking of which, games like these tilts the fudge out of you.

8/0 start with trist, can't close out game because of useless star fish players. Like man I know I could had carried harder but stuff's hard when all brand need is to ult someone and have it bounce to me. Ended with loss and S+ rating gg

one thing you have to realize is that the reason that someone is bronze/silver/gold/plat/diamond and not challenger is because they have laughably horrible flaws in the way they play the game. period. even in D5 i still make really stupid decisions or whiff my mechanics consistently enough that i cant be challenger.

basically, if you arent challenger, youre trash

This is true. It's difficult and frustrating, however, because I understand that I'm not a good player, but I get tilted by the Curse of Knowledge bias whenever I play soloq.

Considering the fact that my mechanics are potato 7, I've been carrying myself through ranks by shotcalling and winning lane hard through sheer knowledge. I guess the average player in my elo is the opposite, having slightly better mechanics but still very little game knowledge. I get tilted really easily by this fact, and it's no excuse to lose, which is frustrating.

Nothing like playing against a Tryndamere top and witnessing our Lux mid die to his roam because they:

A.) didn't ward their lane while repeatedly pushing
B.) refused to listen to MIA/danger pings directly on top of where Tryn was walking
C.) were unable to position properly to avoid ganks
D.) ignored "Tryn coming mid" in the chat when I said it 3 times
E.) blew binding 2 seconds before tryn showed up to farm a caster.

Gold elo is like one of the deepest pits of my personal Hell, not because it is inescapable, because it certainly is possible to climb out, but there are inexplicably awful plays every game, and often the majority of the bad plays are concentrated on one single player. Every player is making mistakes, but one will often be a new level of spud.

I discover new things that tilt me every game because looking for even one second at other lanes gives me aids :^)
