I gotta be honest, guys.  I am actually finding updating and constantly following this game to be a tremendous consumption of time and attention.  Frankly, I am seriously considering either dropping the project altogether or passing it off to anyone who I

Before expeditionaries can return with results of the exploration of the mainland, Vlast catches wind of numerous expansions. It establishes claims to the area around the river that is east-northeast of Slavanaya, and farther south of Washk's border.

A penal colony is hastily created at the river's mouth, some 500 prisoners are sent. 100 are lost to desertion within the first weeks.

u just claimed those lands, bb

the land north of me was claimed from the beginning.

Conservatia has no interest in peaceful expansion. They are not hungry people - they are warmongers. Take a look at their country and see that they have no interest in feeding their people.

By Decree of the Washkian Government, a messenger is sent to the Holy State of Milhamiah,

This messenger demands that the Milhamiahans cease taxing Serisian and Kyrevan ships that pass through what is regarded as international waters (to the Washkians). If this demand is not met, consequences will arise.

Vlast is asked to keep to the south side of the river.

Nyn moves troops to the unoccupied territory in the north. You were warned to not expand here. Stand down or we will declare war.

Conservatia requests that it at least be allowed to use the region to move through the region to settle the north-eastern coast, which is the sole reason of its eastern expansion.

Further-more, you have no claim on the region, as they were forfeited.

As said, you cannot reclaim them for another 10 years, and with such a statement it is only logical you have no claim on them at all for these ten years as well, as they are not your lands.

Conservatia, however, has de jure claims under the pretense that it is the child nation of a former empire that resided in the region, and it's natives are on the former Conservatian empires soil.

Conservatia has no interest in peaceful expansion. They are not hungry people - they are warmongers. Take a look at their country and see that they have no interest in feeding their people.

EDIT: Actually forgot to put this in, but the reason we're going for the coastal lands is for fish. Conservatia asks that you redirect your misguided assumptions.

On a OOC note, backstories are good for viable de jure claims.

The Kyrevan barge passes through the mouth of the river and the lake unopposed, and makes its way to Seris. Apparently, Milhamiah has no interest in upholding its trade tax, and Kyrev hereby sees it as null.

Tariffs lifted. Any ships going in unmanned will be looted immediately and they must have a representative with them to get in and out of the Great Lake Sea.

You are 1000 miles away and we will never take you seriously with this.

All foreigners must come in with a pass given by their nation's representatives, similar to a passport. People with no allegiance are no longer allowed in unless they are trading/working.

This settlement was never agreed upon. We settled it elsewhere, but I did forfeit that land in the north due to me controlling too much land, but since they also were a former portion of my empire, I have a de jure claim on that area, too.

Romek-Inen expands west, acquiring the spice hills and claiming everything between itself and the newly found oasis.

i just reviewed the other post and realized i typed east and not west

i love how W and E are next to each other on this keyboard

A claim that was forfeited when you let go of the land. One can not expect to hold a claim on land that they, themselves, forfeited. It simply won't do. This tyrannical control of the peninsula will not end the way you expect, I'm afraid, should you desperately try to cling to things that are not your own. I guarantee you, my people are not primitives that are to be taken likely.

actually i think that was ooc

if it was this'll probs get awkward, lol

forget this. take my stuff off the list, the Empire of Nyn is being dissolved. I'm not going to play if my neighbor is going to play peacekeeper the whole game. Buzzkill.

If I can, i give the my land up to Kean (to wrap around the peninsula) to Scotia and I give Reflum and the surrounding area to Swat.

That's a shame, the back and forth IC stuff was pretty fun, and I was about to pm you about some backstory stuff for flavor. Better than just sitting around. See ya, mate.
