The Anglish delegation is received by an intermediate level trade commissioner.  He leads them on a tour around major trading centers, showing them the products of the Arconian economy:
Wheat, oats and rice for staples; fruits and nuts; and bolts of cotton fabric.
The commissioner also takes them to a corner coffee house on a roasting day.  The roaster roasts coffee beans just nearby, and the delegation is treated to coffee.  "These coffee beans were grown right here in Arcon.  The crop shows much promise."

The delegation never have actually had coffee before - only the far west part of Angland is familiar with the bean. They are hooked! They prepare to make a trade.

A brief history of recent events in Sunyong:
          In recent years, the north and south regions of Sunyong faced conflict, with the northern based government of Sunyong ignoring the needs of the southern region.  Fed up with the north's poor treatment of the south, a young, anonymous individual who goes by the name of Yong Min-nam (translates roughly to Clever Dragon of the South) staged a powerful coup d'etat to overthrow the wealthy north and unite the two regions.  After successfully overthrowing the north, Yong established an empire with himself at the head, and mobilized his, at the time weak, military and began conquering smaller settlements, uniting them under one flag.  After expanding his empire to a desirable amount, he ordered his armies to retreat, stationing the largest portion at the newly established capitol, Suqiu.

With its establishment, Emperor Yong moves immediately to establish diplomatic relations with the Sonodites and Arconians, sending diplomats by means of boat.

Emperor Yong also orders the start of a project to connect the major cities to local mining settlements via railway.

The two embassies are accepted, and Wienza requests embassies in their respective capitals as well.

Maximilian proposes the Foundation for Peace, an initiative to keep the peace between nations. All signatory nations will be at peace with each other, and any nation that declares war on a member of the Foundation (including Foundation members themselves, in which case they will be removed from the Foundation) will have their alliances with members annulled and all Foundation members will embargo the declaring nation. No military assistance will be required, as the Foundation is NOT an alliance, merely an organization to promote dispute resolution without armed conflict.

The administrative center of the Foundation for Peace will be in Wienburg, where voting on new legislation will take place. This may, but does not currently include, things such as privateering bans, reduced intra-Foundation tariffs, etc.

It is recommended that nations join the Foundation as the embargo will be a deterrent for war, assuming it can achieve critical mass.
