In an emergency session of the national assembly, it is decided that if called upon to participate in the violence to the South, Avalonia will remain neutral. It is resolved, however, to increase defenses in border towns. Several forts at key strategic points are constructed, and a number of towns build watchtowers to keep an eye out for invasion. Militias are given orders to distribute their arms and be ready.
