The Gruzian armies find that their ranks are being cut down at an alarming rate when combating the mercenaries.

troops develop a quick tactic to combat this

amidst battle, the invading troops take cover during the volley's retaliation

once they start reloading, cavalry are brought back out and charge into the volley's positions, being supported by infantry

Conservatia had created simple bolt-action rifles before the war started.  When grunterdb1951 joined, he requested if a slight military tech leap be granted, and it was approved at the cost of having other industries suffer.

However, it does not guarantee that the mercenaries would be able to defeat the larger oncoming army with complete efficiency.
