that is loving terrifying

something something panic of 1819.

Anglish economic advisers meet in Landon to discuss repairing a damaged Anglish economy. The sudden abduction of all Saccren towns and people was quite the shock, nonetheless the consideration of a tsunami sweeping across Frisian shores.

Also, SWAT, I would like to notify you that I was still on stasis when you posted that post, and only came back once someone notified me of the actual tsunami. The posts on the 23rd were of the same reason. That post was also at 5 AM. Please consider the accessibility of your actions.

unless you're just here to cause conflict in the game, and going to pull out of your ass that you had a claim on every area of non-mainland fravath.

the idea is that you're his vassal

The industrialists agree with the proposal but the colonial magnates disagree with ceding any territory, and indeed believe they have sovereign right over the area surrounding the divider as well. In the end, the Kaiser overrules them and accepts the deal.

the idea is that to rip any territory out of the hands of a vassal without jumping through many, many hoops is asinine and that would probably go against any no powergaming rules. you cannot strip land from a duke without some people getting very angry.

Kyrevan military units move into the newly claimed territory to enforce sovereignty. An additional force moves into the unclaimed sliver in the north, along Avalonia, Arcon, Romekate and Grúzia's borders, to claim sovereignty of that land for the Empire.

Kyrevan military units move into the newly claimed territory to enforce sovereignty. An additional force moves into the unclaimed sliver in the north, along Avalonia, Arcon, Romekate and Grúzia's borders, to claim sovereignty of that land for the Empire.

The additional force that had been moving into the unclaimed land is met with Georgien resistance, though a small force, the rest of the untaken land is claimed to belong to Grúzia-Nec. They are warned not to continue on.

Arcon sends out flag-bearers to the unclaimed desert to investigate where settlers are and get shot at by Georgean settlers, and thus withdraw.  Arcon apologizes for any intrusion, but also tells the Georgian government to please restrain the settlers from taking shots at official surveying delegations.  Luckily no one was injured or killed in the ordeal.

Grúzia-Nec agrees, though also advises that settlers and supporting military forces will remain armed and to remain cautious when going near the land.

Kyrevan forces stop here, but reinforce as additional men and equipment land here. They remain firm.

The swell of the armed forces ends in the waning months of 1850. A military contractor by the name of Kröpp, famous for its quality steel processing, presents early designs for a muzzle loaded steel gun. Kyrev militarists show some interest and Kröpp pursues the project.

Also very late response, but the Maisners are pursuing other contracts and due to fund limitations and contract exclusiveness they must decline Seris's offer.

Romekate oil hunters continue pushing west.

meanwhile seris works in the corner on their transportation, communication, and weapons

radio waves and breech-loading cannons are cool

so are armored piercing shells

Avalonia steps into the last bit of unclaimed land as a temporary measure, and makes the same offer to the natives there it did when it last expanded: become part of Avalonia where you can maintain your unique culture and live in prosperity, or decline and eventually become part of some hegemony that will erase you as a people.

An Avalonian graduate of the VTI creates the repeating rifle and sells the design to the Avalonian government.  It's a bit of a camel, as bolt action rifles were never a focus of significant research in Avalonia, and it uses pinfire rather than centerfire cartridges, but it's a repeater rifle.  The Avalonian government wishes to partner with Arcon and Conservatia to share the design to be more along the lines of the next implementation of the needle gun.

Now that Avalonia has a border with Kyrev, an offer is made to establish embassies in each others' capitols.  I can't recall if we have those already, but I'm assuming not.
